According to Boston.com, Boychuck has a followup today. He had a headache yesterday, and if he doesn't pass the tests, he's out for at least the next 3 games. Chia also said Pevs will be back for the end of the season, and that he expects Horton to recover on about the same time frame.

Take the article with a grain of salt though, KPD did write it.

Shocking that on the eve of the deadline the Bruins release statements saying that they think both Peverley and Horton will be back. They may as well have just said "Dear other GMs, See we are getting our guys back, we're not desperate for players so please do not try to rape us in trades."

Boychuk and Thornton out and McQuaid suddenly left the ice. Either he got traded or the B's are going to be pretty short on D tomorrow.

Got the call back from EMC. I got the Dallas job.

Looks like I'm going to be back in Mass for training from April 30th till early June. Perfect time to catch some B's games.

My ability to make anyone - regardless of age, sex, race, or religion uncomfortable?

I was in the military, what other attractive qualities do I possess?

So, lines for this game?

Marchand-Bergeron-Seguin
Kelly-Lucic-Krejci
Pouliot-Rholston-Caron
Thornton-Campbell-Paille

Chara-McQuaid
Seids-Corvo
McQuaid-Ference

???

Rolston's primarily a winger at this point... I'd imagine:

Lucic - Kelly - Krejci
Marchand - Bergeron - Seguin
Rolston - Camper - Pouliot
Paille - Campbell - Caron

Chara - Zanon
Seidenberg - Corvo
Ference - McQuaid

It's between Kyle Turris, Nikita Filatov (does he count?), and Mika Zibanejad for most womanly in their organization.

According to Haggs and Bish at the morning skate, Rollie was indeed centering Caron and Pouliot. Zanon wasn't around so the D pairings were:

Chara - Ference
Seidenberg - Corvo
Mottau - McQuaid

Hopefully Zanon shows up and gets into the lineup. Though I do want to see Corvo attempt to fight Kyle Turris.

It would be hilarious of Julien to bench Corvo after his remarks about wanting to fight Turris (in place of Zanon).

I doubt that would happen though.

Bish says Zanon is there (just got there) but won't play (Julien wants to give him a chance to skate with the team first). Rolston and Mottau are expected to play. Thorts should be in the lineup as well.

If Thornton can't go tonight, and they're set on Rolston centering line 3, I'd really like to see:

Lucic - Kelly - Krejci
Marchand - Bergeron - Seguin
Sauvé - Rolston - Pouliot
Paille - Campbell - Caron

Ideally though, this would be a pretty interesting (and IMO more balanced) lineup:

Lucic - Krejci - Seguin
Marchand - Bergeron - Sauvé
Pouliot - Kelly - Rolston
Paille - Campbell - Caron

Roughly 24 hours after announcing plans to exact revenge on Ottawa’s Kyle Turris, Boston defenseman Joe Corvo backed off his statements, saying he temporarily suffered from “foot in mouth” disease while calling his actions “selfish.”

This is because of the Bertuzzi incident. If it looks pre-meditated and something goes wrong (i.e. Turris gets KTFO), they open themselves up to potential liability. I have no doubt that he got a talking to from the coaching staff/front office to make these comments.

So it's OK to cheap-shot a guy's head and potentially injure him for the year like Turris did, but saying "I am going to stand up and challenge you to a fight next time I see you" is forbidden?

This league is 86 types of fucked up.

I love having Rollie center the 2 kids - he gives the line some experience and maybe they provide some spark to his game
