Well, Marchand was actually tripped.
Kelly tripped his man too - after a great stick check. I don't actually have a huge problem with the call but you can't let one go and call the other.

They're not playing like they don't care. They're banged up and they're playing frustrated. They come out, play well for 30 minutes, can't buy a goal and the 1 mistake they make ends up in the back of the net.
I've had zero effort or energy problems with them during this downward spiral.

Someone said it in the Jets game thread, but this team has absolutely been neutered since the Canucks 6-1 on Thornton.
It's as if they feel like they can't play their game anymore without getting penalized, while not being able to retaliate to shenanigans without further being penalized.
It's a shitty "woe is me" attitude. But look at the calls that have gone against them lately. It does look like they've been targeted by the officials of late.

The combination of bad bounces and goalies coming back to Earth makes it a very frustrating game to watch. They're playing, offensively, with two fourth lines and scoring line with Benoit Pouliot on it.

Makes perfect sense to have Brickley doing the Montreal game while we get stuck with Dickhead Olczyk.
