-9 in his last 5 and 2 periodsAccording to Haggs, Z is -7 in the last 4 games. That's a big part of why they're struggling.

That was literally no different than what just happened to Marchand.
Well, Marchand was actually tripped.

I said it after the Jets game, but if there's an opportunity to sit him for a game and give him some rest, I'm of a mind to do it. He looks a Recchi-esque tired right now.

I hate to say it, but this team needs a shake up.
i'd agree. I don't know how to do it, but I think the room needs a bit of a jolt.

Kelly tripped his man too - after a great stick check. I don't actually have a huge problem with the call but you can't let one go and call the other.

This team just isn't very good right now. No energy, no willingness to create anything in front, and careless turnovers. They are playing like they don't care one way or the other.
They're not playing like they don't care. They're banged up and they're playing frustrated. They come out, play well for 30 minutes, can't buy a goal and the 1 mistake they make ends up in the back of the net.
I've had zero effort or energy problems with them during this downward spiral.

It's as if they feel like they can't play their game anymore without getting penalized, while not being able to retaliate to shenanigans without further being penalized.
It's a shitty "woe is me" attitude. But look at the calls that have gone against them lately. It does look like they've been targeted by the officials of late.

I'll give you careless turnovers, but that's about it.

The combination of bad bounces and goalies coming back to Earth makes it a very frustrating game to watch. They're playing, offensively, with two fourth lines and scoring line with Benoit Pouliot on it.
Yup, I'm about at the point where they switch Pouliot and Seguin. Things have gotten stale.

Agreed on making a change Smails, I'd roll out the following lines for the third:
Pouliot - Bergeron - Marchand
Lucic - Kelly - Seguin
Paille - Krejci - Caron
Hennessy - Campbell - Thornton
