They are statistically the worst rebounding team in the NBA. Defensive, offensive, any way you want to slice it.Are the Celtics the worst defensive rebounding team in the NBA? I mean how hard is it to put a body on a guy?

The rebounding has been a huge fucking problem for years and it hasn't been addressed
There's only so much you can do when you start every offseason already over the cap.
Just took a look at the schedule. It's going to be hilarious a month from now:
3/11 @ LAL
3/12 @ LAC
3/14 @ GS
3/16 @ SAC
3/17 @ DEN
3/19 @ ATL
3/22 @ MIL
3/23 @ PHI
Can't see them taking more than 2 or 3, if that.

O'Neal doesn't have the springs to jump any more nor the heft to block out. They just move around and over him.
Johnson is a second behind. Wilcox just isn't very good. Bass is injured.
Rondo is probably the team's only above-average rebounder.

No. They re middle of the road defensive rebounders. They re dead last offensive rebounding.
Two points though: OTOH, offensive rebounding is how you appraise true rebounding ability. OTOH, I remember one of the commentators saying last year that the Celtics don't put as much effort on offensive rebounding in order to have quick returns on D.
The problem is much more that the Bulls are the best offensive rebounding team though.

Eh, they're terrible at all kinds of rebounding: http://espn.go.com/n...bounds-per-gameNo. They re middle of the road defensive rebounders. They re dead last offensive rebounding.

Like I said. 21s in Defensive rebounding and it's actually worse than last time I checked it, probably because there isn't much difference in the middle of the pack.

FU Noah.

Shaq = ruin of halftime show.
Didn't see this one but he brings a very awkward dynamic that wasn't there before. Could just be comfort - Ernie, Kenny, and Charles are extremely comfortable with each other and know they can say anything at any time. With Shaq it seems like they're still in the stage of worrying about him saying something he shouldn't on air and//or putting a contract on their heads.

That's one of the last skills to wane for an aging ballplayer. All Jermaine O'Neal can do is foul people.

If I had a
sonattitudeface with a shot like Noah's, I'd put him up for adoption.

Can we pick him up with a second-round adoption? Because the Celtics could use a long floppy guy whose bones don't creak when he moves.
