These Pistons are 8-21 and will likely be 8-22 after they play the Spurs on Tuesday night in Detroit.

These Pistons lost to the Wizards on Sunday after having won four in a row against the iron of the NBA (Milwaukee, New Orleans and two against NJ).

Incidentally, speaking of the 80s Pistons, I recently watched the famous Game 5 of the 1987 conference finals with the amazing Bird-DJ play at the very end. Suck it, Thomas. As incredible as that play was, we've all seen it dozens of times. The play that really shocked me was a Darren Daye lead drive when he dribbled down the middle of the Court and passed the ball behind his back to a driving Larry on the wing for an easy lay-up. Darren Freaking Daye.

This is why it's stupid to have photographers on the court or courtside seating without any barrier.

I like the Rondo post-up strategy. He's too much for another guard to handle in the paint.

Without KG, the Celtics defense has been rather soft in the middle.

I like the Rondo post-up strategy. He's too much for another guard to handle in the paint.

This should be particularly effective with the normal starting 5 around him (or the 4th quarter lineup). If they take the one player who can't shoot a jump shot and post him up, it becomes very hard to defend the Celtics if you need to offer help on the post-up. Everyone else on the team can nail open jump shots if they are left uncovered.

If Bradley and Dooling are in together, I'm not sure why Bradley would be the one bringing the ball up .

Rondo can do it all, except make free throws.

JaJuan Johnson is a man.

He's not shy about shooting. Like Bass, he's a bit of a black hole, but he can make the mid-range shot. The slow release could be a problem in some matchups, but he'll just jump higher than most defenders.

Bizarro half from Ray.

9 free throw attempts, 5 rebounds. 0-3 FGs, no 3s attempted

Wilcox is not-so-quietly making the case that he should be getting the most minutes of any bench big. I like the ability of Bass to create his own shot when playing with the second unit, but Wilcox is providing, hustle, rebounding, athleticism, and efficient offense and seems to work really well with Rondo. He is showing enough that Doc is going to have to consider him being part of the 4th quarter unit even when this team is healthy.

I'm all for a big man rotation of KG, Bass, Wilcox, and Johnson. If Johnson hits the wall, bring JO back for 15 minutes of defense a night. Jermaine is becoming more and more useless by the game.

More slow-release light touch from Johnson. He reminds me of James Edwards on the mid-range jumper.

Much better than Edwards on the shot-blocking, though.

When (if) this team is ever totally healthy, JJ needs to still get minutes. I don't care if he's a rookie, he was Big Ten DPOY as a senior, the kid can ball.

As long as it isn't taking minutes away from Wilcox.

They went away from the Rondo post-up as Detroit went on that mini-run. We need more Rondo posting-up.

As much as I like Johnson.... he is very Jeff Green-ish on the boards (and thats not a good thing).

He has pretty terrible anticipation and instincts on the glass. Partially it could be his slight build, but if you watch it's more than that. He is just slow to react. His rebounding numbers/minute in college were bad, and they are bad in the NBA too.

It's a huge negative for him, as otherwise he has a ton of positive qualities.

Why the hell is Bradley double teaming Wilkins with Pierce guarding him? What an awful play by him
