Noon game today. Hopefully the Memphis team will still be sleeping during the game.

This is a big test for the Celtics. An early game against a very athletic team. If there has been one flaw with the Celtics over the past two years its been their lack of athleticism. Today will be a big test for them and hopefully the additions of Bass/Wilcox give this team something extra at the rim today.

So it looks like we will be seeing a lot of Wilcox and Stiemsma then. Any chance JJJ plays today?

On NBA-TV for you out of towners. They're using the Boston feed, too. :)

What a pretty play by Rondo!

Wilcox is/has been a huge addition to this team. One of the few Celtics players that can role with Rondo and be quick enough to get to the basket.

This will be a fun lineup to watch with Bradley and JJJ getting some major minutes. While I am not expecting this team to set the world on fire offensively, defensively the Grizz are going to have a very hard time.

Now that was a good one, props.

Memphis pressing the 2nd unit with Bradley at PG. I expect to see a lot of this in the future

Wow Rondo. Coming out a bit flat this quarter.

Rondo is playing like crap. Bradley making too many mistakes as well.

Johnson looks very, very good. He could be very useful against these other athletic teams like the Hawks if they were to match up in the playoffs.

Bradley a good on ball defender against PGs. But his lack of size showing itself against SGs. Mayo just shooting right over him

Bizarre stat. Celtics are down 5 points in the 2nd quarter, but Chris Wilcox's plus/minus is +22.

I was just thinking the same thing. Mayo has a real shot of hurting the Celtics in this game. What about Pietrus?

Fantastic court vision by Rondo there with the timing of his penetration. That's a play that very few pg's have the awareness to make.

Have they marked the Ray Allen 3 down to a 2? On the replay his foot was on the line. Maybe they didn't catch it?

The one in the corner on the out of bounds play? That was called and scored a 2 from the beginning

Oh okay. Thanks for that. I thought they had flashed a three up on the scoreboard. It also didn't help to see Pietrus come off the bench like a mad man waiving his arms up for a three.

That Lebron James, "I could've dropped out of school and become a statistic" ad makes no sense. It's heart is in the right place, but the idea that dropping out of school was ever an option that Lebron considered is absurd. On the other hand, I'm not the target audience for that ad.

KG realizing that shooting 3's isn't anymore difficult than shooting 2's from half a step inside the arc is a beautiful thing.

Always thought KG could be a decent 3 pt shooter. He has comfortable range 20-21 feet, no reason he can't be around a 35% 3pt shooter.

I think Johnson should be getting minutes even when Bass gets back. The guy has just been too good in limited minutes.

With Wilcox playing better, might be tough to play 5 big guys. But Johnson really has earned it. Maybe less time for JO is in order.

I must be the wishy-washiest fan in the world. Games like this have me saying " Let's just trade the picks for a real center and give those motherfuckers in Miami a series" . I'll probably start a 'Trade Paul Pierce' thread tomorrow.

Maybe less JO? Bass at the 4 works for me but you can get a strong rotation of JO/Wilcox/Johnson with Wilcox plugging in at the 4 too.

I'm giving Avery Bradley a Jed Point. A Jed Point is awarded every time I see Avery Bradley make a smart play on offense.

Johnson has sort of an awkward running style. Looks like he's dragging his legs up the court a little bit. But he actually is moving pretty fast

That was the smartest play I've ever seen Avery Bradley make. Though he was gonna shoot and miss for sure
