Bieksa with a brain dead move at the blue line leads to a Helm goal going the other way.

Annnddd another L for the Leafs.

If not for Washington completely falling apart, the Leafs would be out of a playoff spot by quite a few points.

The Jets are poised to take over the 8th spot in the East if they can hang on at home vs. Tampa tonight. Who would've thought 10 years ago that playoff hockey would return to Winnipeg before Toronto?

The Jets will actually take over the Southeast lead if that Florida score holds up tonight, unbelievable.

Edit: Of course the Panthers tie it up right after I say that.

The Jets making the playoffs should terrify anybody in the East. I don't think they are particularly good but that home ice is a huuuuuge advantage.

Puck deflects in off Kronwall's skate on a Hodgson pass.

Abdul Khad'r reclaims the lead almost immediately after as Helm's shot hits the post. Awesome.

Booth has to raise that. Knows the goalie is going to cover low, he's on his forehand and it's not one of those moves where his arms are so outstretched he can only slap at it.

Congrats to the Wings, that's a hell of a streak. Sucks that it had to end in a gimmick against a gimmicky team.

It continued multiple times thanks to the same shit gimmick. Only fitting that "streak" ends in a shootout.

The Poni Express continues to impress since moving to NJ.

@TGfireandice
Five goals and six assists for Ponikarovsky in 15 games since he joined Devils. He had 7 goals, 8 assists in 49 games with CAR before trade.

Scary scene in St. Paul during the Sharks/Wild game. Todd McClellan collapsed at the end of the SJ bench and had to be helped back to the dressing room. Play just resumed.

Anyone interested in catching a game with trade deadline implications rather than the Oscars, Hawks v. Ducks just started in Anaheim. If the Ducks lose, that puts them 8 points behind 8th place Dallas, though they'll still have a game in hand. More importantly, Selanne may decide to waive his NMC and guys like Lydman/Visnovsky may become more available.

Pat Kane wants Selanne in a B's uniform. 1-0 Hawks on a PP goal

And the Hawks finally score on their 40th PP attempt. They were 0 for 39 IIRC coming in.

They've got another one almost immediately after.

Yeesh their PP must have been god-awful, Jamal Mayers is on it. Shades of Boogaard on the Wild PP.

Cogliano scores a goal that he kicked to his stick, and hit the puck as it rested between Emery's legs. It was waved off on the ice, but you never really see the stick hit the puck - but it's fair to infer that the stick made contact.

Still under review after about 3 minutes so far.

The longest review ever is over, ref's mic doesn't work, but in the end - good goal. The right call.

This was ruled no goal in the Penguins-Blow Jackets game this afternoon b/c of "goalie interference."

Yeah, that's a horrible call any way you cut it. Luckily it had no impact on the outcome of the game.

Hopefully this is something that is addressed in the offseason... What constitutes goalie interference is one of the (if not THE) least consistent calls in hockey. (It has bugged me since at least the 2008 playoffs when the Caps were on the less-than-fortunate end of a couple calls with the Flyers.)
