Stamkos has 2 more goals, and we're not even through with a period. 42 and counting...60 may be within reach.

Also the Bolts are selling at a furious rate, but if the Leafs and Jets scores hold up, they'll only be 4 back.

Detroit really does not fuck around on their PP. Filppula with a few seconds left on it beats Crawford off the left post, but they had about 5 shots on/near the net and were constantly moving around.

They made it within a goal of the SCF with Marc-Andre Bergeron in their top 4. In my mind they're capable of anything.

(Hudler goes for a change, Kane makes contact and dives, gets the call)

Stephane Auger cementing his rep as the worst ref this league has seen in a long while. Kane skates into Hudler as they leave Detroit's defensive zone, and Hudler gets called for interference.

18+ minutes in, the Q decides that playing with only 4 D against the Red Wings isn't a good idea.

Weird isn't it? Especially against a Datsyuk-less lineup. It's not like Lepisto is chopped liver, the guy can play 12-15 minutes a night at the NHL level and not hurt you.

Positively Raycroft-esque. When are they going to get an NHL goalie?

Remember what I was saying about the Wings' PP?

They only established offensive zone possession with 0:34 to go, and Ian White fell leading to a clean breakaway for Michael Frolik from his own blue line. Nonetheless Zetterberg nearly scored with a couple seconds to go.

White falls down on the PP point, giving Frolik a breakaway for 3/4 of the ice, saved by Howard.

Holy shit, another breakaway stopped by Howard, this time on Bolland.

Howard slides a bit too far out of his crease as Kronwall blows a coverage on the rebound, Hayes makes them pay and it's 1-1.

Pretty borderline holding call on Seabrook there, Helm could've gone for diving too at least.

No surprise, it was Auger once again.

The Tank is on. Stars score twice in 37 seconds (including one by Ribeiro) to build their lead to 3-0 in Montreal.

Howard's put up an incredible performance tonight. The announcers didn't make note of it but it looked like he just robbed Sharp yet again.

edit: Nope, Filppula blocked the pass and Howard paddled it out of the crease

I know it's crazy. Like...insane crazy.

But Toronto desperately needs a goalie. Bruins need defense and some forward depth.

Thomas and a pick for Gardiner and Bozak?

No need for a guy like Bozak IMO.

I would do unreasonable things for the B's to acquire Jake Gardiner, though.

He'd be a Peverley replacement, only 4 years younger. He's got more goals than Peverley and has improved every year in the NHL. The Bruins could do worse.

He's on pace for a 45-50 point season playing predominantly with Lupul/Kessel. In my eyes, he's a very average 3rd line center whose stats would definitely not translate to being on Boston's weak-on-wing 3rd line:.

Lucic - Krejci - Peverley (Pouliot until then)
Marchand - Bergeron - Seguin
Kelly - Bozak - Caron

I don't see it working out very well

For all the complete garbage Ryan Miller penalties we've seen recently, I am stunned that Jiri Tlusty driving into Jonas Hiller in the crease wasn't called interference during Jerome Samson's goal in Carolina.

Luca Sbisa answers almost immediately. Ducks are looking rejuvenated... but don't tell that to CC.
