Actually it's 11 in 3 periods. Scarily enough, he didn't register a point until the 2nd period Thursday night.Three points in the first period for Gagner. That's eleven in four periods.

I'm trying to find record for points in consecutive games. I have to think Sittler had at least one point in the game before or after his 10 point outburst, considering that the Leafs scored four in each game.
Edit: It looks like Sittler had two points in the preceding game. So the consecutive game record is at least 12 points.

Yikes, you're right about the three periods.

Most points over two games: 14. Peter and Anton Stastny both did it in February 1981.

Ah the post-merger days when defense was optional.

Edit: And Gagner scores in the SO. RNH wins it in the 6th round.

Lucky punch or not, I am utterly in awe. What a goddamn circus that was. Philly is the scummiest goddamn team.
Ilya Kovalchuk beat the snot out of Brayden Schenn though:
Both of what Kovalchuk did, and of how shitty a player Rinaldo is.
edit: Fittingly, I mixed up Rinaldo and Sestito once again,

lol boo hoo.second straight day the Devils get away with murder that leads to a shorthanded goal. Kovalchuk committed a sexual assault on Paul Martin.
Penguins getting run out of the building in the first 2 periods even without that shorty.
13th SHG... leads the NHL.

Naturally, NBCSN is airing the least compelling matchup of the night, Tampa/LA.

Columbus draws first blood against Minnesota with David Savard's first NHL goal.
Oof, Okposo beats Bryzgalov cleanly but rings iron
Clarkson continues his god damn ridiculous season with a snipe on Lundqvist off a nice feed from Parise.
Cafardo of nothing, if he sticks in the NHL, I may have to get a Rhett Rakhshani jersey to match my yet-to-be-purchased Zibanejad sweater.

cshea, Geno didn't come back after him - you can see Subban staring at Malkin for the entire last 10 seconds even after the puck's left Malkin's stick. He's in there purely to troll, knowing there's no consequence going into the shootout.
Subban was totally trolling, but I also thought Malkin was just frustrated after Subban made a few nice checks on him and is partially to blame for that scrum. Wasn't as bad as his usual slew footing antics.
Either way, Subban still needs to die.
