I couldn't find a definitive answer to this. If I get a iPhone speaker dock like http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001FWXDZQ or https://www.ihomeaudio.com/iA63BZX/, will text messages and call rings play over the speakers, or just music?

The goal here is to help someone on my team who is on-call, but is having trouble getting woken up by text message alerts.

I know for our speakers it happens with my wife's iPhone.

Anytime i've plugged it into something the texts/calls supercede the music.
