I'm sick of this Hurricanes team being a thorn in the Bruins side this season. Come out and destroy them tomorrow, no more dumb penalties late in the game. Play smart disciplined hockey and this team is no match for the Bruins. Win!

So if AFLAC calls me to set up an interview for an Employee Benefit Account Representative position, that's gonna be commission and not salaried right?

I've heard really bad things about working for AFLAC. Do a google search on them, but they have a really bad reputation as far as employees go.

99% sure that would be commission. I used to do some recruiting for them back in the day, and quickly learned that it's a company I have no interest in ever working for.

I hear you have to toss Gilbert Gottfried's salad while he quacks out the AFLAC company song if you want the job.

It's the final interview.

I'd do it, if only to find out what the company song is.

Ference is freed for this one, but McQuaid is questionable wit a lower body injury. He injured himself last night at his own blue line with the other 9 skaters in the Ottawa end. It was quite the sight to see.

I'm currently in an email battle with Jack Todd, the Montreal reported who implied Tim Thomas was racist.

I need a job.

From me:

A deserter, eh?

You're a coward. Enjoy living the rest of your life knowing that you're a chicken-shit.

His reply:

Unlike the cowards who think they're tough guys hiding behind their e-mail and slinging crap?
I put my name on it. I put my face on it. I walk into the room and face Tim Thomas or whoever else wants to take a swing at me. I ENLISTED in Marine Corps officer training when Marine lieutenants had the highest casualty rate in Vietnam.
And walking away from a war in which 55,000 Americans and 1 million Vietnamese died for no reason at all? That's a braver thing than you can imagine doing.
bye, spammer.

My reply.

Is it though? I've deployed twice, once to Afghanistan, once to Somalia. I enlisted after 9/11 knowing I was going to war. I commissioned as an officer knowing I would go again.

I'm not anonymous. My name is attached to this.

And what the hell does Tim Thomas have to do with all of this? What does hockey have to do with your cowardice? You signed up to be a Marine, but you were too much of a coward to follow through with it.

I emailed you because 5 minutes out of my day is nothing to remind you that you're living the life of a coward. When your country asked you to give back, you tucked your tail and ran.

Congrats.

In other news, I'll post this again:

About 10-11 days left to get another $2500. If any of you have $5 or $10 I would appreciate it muchly so. Don't give it to a cancer kid, give it to my band so we can live out our pathetic, childish rock star dreams, even if only for 3 weeks or so.

From Haggs' Facebook

Pretty good line for Andrew Ference when asked if he's concerned about becoming a repeat offender coming off his first NHL suspension: ""I don't have to register in my neighborhood, so I think its okay."

I hated, hated Ference for quite a while. I hated his contract, I hated that he was always hurt, everything.

Since the gear malfunction, I've completely 180'd on him. I love the guy. He's funny, he always sticks up for teammates, and when he's on the ice, he's actually pretty damn good.

I was actively razzing Thimas while he posted his shutout in Prague - has to be him, as he was ridiculous the next 7 games or so and won me over.
