My co worker, who likes to bet and assigns importance to such things, stated there was a bug/sickness going around the locker room. Any reason for concern come gametime?
An apparent stomach bug has affected the New England Patriots
this week, as starting tackle Matt Light missed practice Monday
and was kept out of Media Day on Tuesday because he is ill,
according to a team official.
No other Patriots players other than Light are known to have been
affected, but other team personnel have fallen sick, according to
the team official.

Matt Light was kept away from media day due to it. I think Vollmer also.
But Light says he's now back to full health.
EDIT: I can't find this on-line, but here's a second hand report from NFL.com from yesterday:

Fuck the Giants and their smug, balding, inbred fans and media fanboys and shit-stirrers. I look forward to Mad Dog Russo the day after a NYG defeat, just like 10/21/2004.

He's a San Fran boy. He celebrated after 10/21/2004 and loves NY teams as much as you guys do. /hides

11 years.
I've seen this a hundred times this week and not just here (written by people that should know better) so I'm not trying to pick on you.
2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012
Doesn't really make it any less amazing.

I laugh at the NFL Network and their 24/7 of analysts who are all picking the Giants.
They all continue to rave about the (9-7) Giants as if they were the second coming of the Steel Curtain.
They forget we have Myra. Go Pats!

Eli is over due for a poor playoff game.
Posted 02 February 2012 - 10:32 AM
He wasn't great against SF. He was actually terrible in the one playoff game he played in the 2008-2010 seasons.
He's had a very good year but he's getting overrated.
Of course he doesn't have to be all that good to throw on Sterling Moore and Edelman and Molden.

Eli hasn't really been all that different from previous seasons. Cmp%, QBR are all about the same. The only real difference is he threw alot more, so he got alot more yards. Probably due to having better receivers. Of course, he is better than anyone else the Pats have faced this year.

Eli Manning isn't a better quarterback than Ben Roethlisberger. Or Philip Rivers, for that matter. Seriously, Eli caught fire at the right time and now everyone is slobbering over him. The way they talk about him you'd think he was a young, up-and-coming kid with a bright future ahead of him. Dude's 31 (the same age as Brady was going into the 08 SuperBowl), he was the first overall pick, he has arguably the best WR group in the NFL to work with, he better be having some success. He's a good quarterback, but all the talk about how he's better than Peyton, or how he's more 'clutch' than Brady is absolutely retarded. Eli is streaky, and he's on a hot streak. The other times in which he got to the playoffs on a cold streak the Giants were one and done. He's had pretty solid teams around him his whole career, and yet his winning percentage is .580 and his TD/INT ratio is lower than 1.5. Really, I know this doesn't come into play a whole lot in Sunday's game, but the hype around this dude is bothering me a lot, man. I'm not even disagreeing with what you posted here, I think I just need to vent over all the bullshit I've been hearing about Eli this week. He's Phil Simms in a passing-friendly environment.

I think Eli is also getting extra credit, or style points, for taking such a beating against SF and not turning the ball over or disintegrating. The lasting image of that game is of him with helmet askew, shoulder pads sticking out, looking unfazed. Of course, that doesn't make him a great QB. And he threw at least two balls that should have been picked off.Eli Manning isn't a better quarterback than Ben Roethlisberger. Or Philip Rivers, for that matter. This is the Super Bowl of the Overwhelming Grand Narratives.
They are many, and they are yelled over and over, until a nearly impenetrable mass psychology has been cultivated.
Fuck that.
