If you guys had a choice to move to either Dallas, Michigan, or Kentucky..what would your choice/order be?
I'm thinking MIchigan, Kentucky, Dallas as my order..anyone have any advice/suggestions?
Where's Sach these days, isn't he a Michigan boy?

what part of Michigan/Kentucky?
I think Grand Rapids, and Lexington - but not confirmed yet.
If it were Detroit, Michigan would drop to the botton.

Sach is back in Mass, all depends on the part of Michigan though. I don't know anything about those parts, soooo... yeah, move to Dearborn if you want a big supply of live target practice.
You have family there?

He said, wait until you see what he does in the Final.
Link to Pirates win in the semis, with a pretty sweet move on the 3rd goal.

All of those places seem like they suck.
Yea, they're not the best options. But at this point, I'll take anything for work. Once I get into the company for a couple years, I can transfer to wherever (London, San Diego, MILFORD!!!) but in the short term, I have to go someplace not so cool.

And if so, what parts of it suck the least?

I think Michigan has gotten a bad wrap because the auto industry has suffered because so much of the economy has been wrapped up in that. The population of Michigan has declined a bit because the unemployment rate was pretty high (more opportunities elsewhere). Now that the auto industry is getting back on the right track, I think Michigan is getting back on the right track. One of the best thing about Michigan is that it's cheap. It's a low cost of living and there is a lot of housing stock, so if you save well the first couple of years, you can probably buy a home (which might not be a bad investment).Does Michigan suck?
And if so, what parts of it suck the least?
To answer your question, parts of Michigan do suck, parts of Michigan don't suck. The state is only going to get better as the local economy gets better, especially in the nicer towns. Unfortunately, I'm not as familiar with Western Michigan as I am with the southeast. What I do know about Grand Rapids is that it is affected by lake-effect weather, so it'll definitely be worse than Kentucky or Texas in that regard. If you're fine with that, I think Michigan is a good place to live. There are places to hunt. There are places to vacation. You can easily get away to Chicago (3 hours). You can go to Detroit (2 and a half hours).
Do you have any specific questions? I feel like I'm just listing random stuff.

This is a good start. I really don't have anything specific yet. Just trying to get a feel for what people think about these places. Is happy hour legal in Michigan?

A quick Google indicates that they do, in fact, have happy hours there.

I think you guys are massively underselling Lexington. Much of (rural) Kentucky rightfully gets crapped on, but both Lex and Louisville are pretty decent.

Why? Teach us oh one-toothed, moonshining guru of Kentucky.

- It is the only major city on the list. Maybe that doesn't mean anything to you. But at least there are things to do and restaurants and events and people. Yes, downtown is basically a giant Hartford because nobody goes there.
- All four major sports and nice arenas to boot
- Mostly warm and somewhat arid (not as dry as Arizona, but much drier than say Houston which is just an oppressive miasma of humidity suck all year)
- Airport is a major hub and has cheap flights to both coasts.
- The Dallas farmer's market is pretty awesome.
But I'm mostly thinking that all three of those choices are not ideal for me, so I would at least avoid a winter for a couple years if were making the decision.

I don't have a ton of influence where I go, I just want to react properly if I find out I get one of them. Though right now, it looks like Dallas might be most likely where they send me.

Though Livonia's north border is 8 Mile Rd. So you could always have that to fall back on.

TSOYRRA is one hell of an acronym. That could be a 17th century conquistador, or the new Barcelona goalkeeper.
