I said this from the moment they traded himI would never want the trade back but I would like Wideman back. He is a good player and was an unfortunate scapegoat by many ignorant fans.

Is there any player you don't like and/or want back on the Bruins?

First time Wideman's ever been on target.
The Dennis Wideman who has 9 goals on the year with 34 total points in 48 games?

Wheeler and Wideman are the only two. Both strong players that were unfortunate scapegoats by ignorant fans. I am sorry I commented on Zach Hamill tonight playing better and that I would like Wideman back.

Nah, you must be thinking of someone else. Common mistake.

Can we call up Hamilton
You know, when I heard he got suspended 10 games in juniors I was thinking that this may be the perfect time for that 9 game stint.

Lol, I did get a good laugh out of that one.
These are the dog days for any NHL team. The week leading up to a break can create that coasting mindset. Its a great sign that we can be pissed about a .500 week in which the Bruins played 6 games in 8 days in which they played 5 play off teams.
Great first half Bruins, great first half.

I'm beginning to hate Brendan Shanahan. .6 seconds is the weakest of fucking weak excuses.

This type of shit wouldn't happen if our government wasn't out of control.
Actually, from your initial post I'd conclude this wouldn't have happened if Thimas hadn't acted like a dumb sack a shit a couple of days ago
(EDIT: Dead wife jokes are awesome. I'll need to practice those in French next time we are up in MTL)

Remind me to never go to a game with Jeff. I hate people that can't behave like proper guests while on the road
You could give him some etiquette lessons.

I was at the game too. Shocked they have three banners up for the 09-10 season when they were bumped in the first round (Division champs, Presidents Trophy, and Regular Season Conference Champs). The President's Trophy line is really good. Well done
What a garbage franchise.

Not really. They have a consolidated banner with the years they've won the division.Bruins have Division and President's trophy banners up for all applicable years as well. Not sure about a conference champs trophy from 08-09 though.
President's Trophy is worthy of a banner. But come on.

The Division Champ and Presidents' Trophy banners were hung after they won 'em, but those two "Regular Season Conference Champion" banners (for '09-'10 and '10-'11) were hung last week, with no explanation as far as I can tell. I'm a Caps fan, and I agree with you that those things are stupid (and I think most Caps fans would agree).I was at the game too. Shocked they have three banners up for the 09-10 season when they were bumped in the first round (Division champs, Presidents Trophy, and Regular Season Conference Champs).

I was wandering around on capgeek looking for pending FA defensemen to amass a list of candidates and I had to chuckle.
Ostensibly one of the best fits to fill our needs of the pending free agents is a familiar face. After all, the only flaws in Dennis Wideman in terms of what we want, are the fact that he plays for a contender, shoots right, and the prior history. If he hits free agency -- and he may or may not -- he immediately becomes one of the best available options to fill that role in the offseason depending on what Suter does. You can call that a poor pool of candidates, I choose to call it the people who keep spouting the Wideman sucks mantra need to learn to figure out when the facts disagree with them.
Mr. Make Believe confronts Dojji on his Wideman infatuation:
You're just in LOVE with Dennis Wideman, aren't you? You ****ing just LOOOOOOOVE him. Looooooooovve...
Question? Doesn't matter.
Answer: Dennis Wideman
Listen... I was never a hater. But the guy couldn't SKATE. And the last thing I want on this defense (as a puck-mover or otherwise) is someone who can't skate. Add to that, the flaws that even YOU would admit... And (and I'm sure I'm not alone when I say this) I don't want a DAMN thing to do with Dennis Wideman.
The ship has ****ing sailed, and thank whatever deity you pray to that it has. The conversation has now been changed to finding actual solutions. Please join us in that discussion.

Corvo has been terrible lately, but to my untrained eyes Seidenburg has also been scuffling quite a bit. They look to really need a few days off.
The entire D corps have looked like they are playing on tired legs - even Chara has been susceptible to uncharacteristic flubs over this busy stretch. A little rest will hopefully do them good.

I went to a concert that didn't stink at all last night. Megadeth with Motorhead, Volbeat and Lacuna Coil (meh).
I was too busy drinking down the street to see boring Lacuna Coil but the other three bands ripped. Megadeth might be the tightest live band ever.

Wow Lacuna Coil. I remember them coming out on WAAF back in the early 2000's with "Heaven's a Lie". I had no idea they were still a band.
Yup. they've been around since the early-mid 90's actually. They had that one hit but they're too much of a metal band to get more radio play. And since modern rock radio plays nothing but classic rock and buttrock, that isn't likely to change.
