Better get this posted early seeing as SJH's hockey boner is still up. That's the nice thing about back-to-backs and 12 games in 21 days, why dwell on the last awesome game when you can just focus on the next awesome game that's so close to puck drop?

By the way, if you thought Bane's run hurt your ears, I almost went with country songs. Y'all would have become intimately familiar with the Eric Church catalog.

Count your blessings, he could have said Animal Collective.

As much as I appreciate the light schedule lately as a chance for the team to recharge its batteries, I'm glad the 4 games in 17 days stretch is over and I can watch Bruins hockey more than twice a week.

I'll be the first to admit that I have really bad taste in music, but at least I don't like Incubus.

Top 5 artists played on my iTunes:
1. Frank Turner
2. The Wonder Years
3. Seahaven
4. Man Overboard
5. The Beach Boys

For what it is worth, Jarome Iginla is at 499 goals. I want to say that if he gets #500 in Boston, it is a sign that that is where he should be traded - except a guy like Iginla typically gets picked up by a team looking for a missing piece to get them over the top. The Bruins don't appear to have any missing pieces and are already over the top, so I guess Iggy's gotta go somewhere else.

That ship has sailed. I want no part of Iginla anymore - the Bruins really do not have any holes at this point. I'd like them to touch up the defense a bit, but even then I really have zero complaints.

I love Iginla, but the cost of acquiring him would of course be very high and given that this team is kicking ass through their insane depth I'm not willing to sacrifice it even for a player of Iginla's abilities.

I agree for now, but things can certainly change come late February. If Iginla is the piece to really blow this thing open, then a trade should be seriously considered.

We've already had 8 members (9 if we include the Chris Clark experiment) of the '03 Calgary team play for the B's, why not make it 10?

If Iginla's on the block, I think Chiarelli listens. The B's have the cap space, and Iggy's money would conveniently come off the books before the cap crunch after next season. If Calgary tries to blow it up, and is willing to take mostly futures, then why not take a run at him? Hamilton would be the only untouchable from my perspective.

I would not bat an eye at dealing both Spooner and Knight for him if the rest of the package is limited to, say, Bartkowski and a 2012 2nd. Imagine:

Lucic - Krejci - Iginla
Marchand - Bergeron - Seguin
Kelly - Peverley - Horton
Pouliot - Campbell - Thornton
Paille/Hamill/Caron

:fap:

Yeah, but I'm already fapping to the current version of the club. Not a Blake Wheeler in sight. If we got Iginla I might whack my dick right off.

(she asked me the other night if I'd really follow through on the promise to name the hypothetical second Timothy Thomas Hesketh. I said of course, I'm wrong about everything, might as well have a lasting monument to that).

The late 60's, early 70's Bruins traded a lot of their young talent for established players. It sucked to see Rick Macleish, Reggie Leach and Bernie Parent hoist the Cup.
