Yeah, the Rangers are absolutely the one team in the East that would scare me. They are a very good, deep team that can play defense, roll 4 lines, play physical, and adapt to the type of game they need to play. Not to mention they have a fantastic goaltender who can take over a game.

Not to mention that the B's have had trouble with this team when they were a middle of the pack unit. I almost would rather see them take the #2 seed behind the B's so as to avoid them as long as possible.

Shane Doan scores his 306th, 307th, and 308th goals to record his first career hat trick with 1 second remaining in a 5-1 win.

Here's how close Doan was to NOT getting his first hat trick... 0.1 seconds:

Hell of a game going on in Chicago. Wings tied it in the last five minutes, headed to OT now.

Blues shutout a lifeless Scabs team 3-0.

B's have a chance to pretty much deliver the kill shot on Thursday.

They gave Halak (19/19 sv) a standing ovation as he was leaving the ice. Not much else to cheer about up there this year.

Looks like the Senators are doing their best 10-11 Tampa Bay impression. 52 points, 5th in the conference, -4 goal differential (-8 before they beat the Pens 5-1 tonight). What the hell is going on up there?

If I was running the Isle I'd probably call a T.O. there too. "Okay, guys, they've never scored four goals in six seconds, but let's not make this the first time. Kyle, stop drooling. Steve, take that goddamn bucket off your head. John, stop petting the fucking goalie and get out there!"

Ouch, just saw the Devils highlights. Giving up 6 goals is bad, but on 14 shots? For the game? Man.

I swear I could do better than that, and I haven't strapped it on in probably 10 years. And holy shit, typing that makes me feel old.

Depends what you're strapping on...

Listening on the radio and Steve Staios apparently just delivered a brutal headshot to Max Talbot. I'm waiting for video but Steve-O may have a date with Shanny. And apparently Talbot was knocked out like Sami Kapanen in the playoffs against Toronto.

It looked more like Talbot had the wind knocked out of him than him being dazed from a hit to the head.

Yes. Bit of an overreaction by Chris Therien, maybe an elbow but it looked like he got him in the chest vs. the head. Problem was Talbot never saw it coming. Crappy clip:

Blackhawks pull the goalie and score with less than a minute left, and we're going to overtime.

Captain America gave up 5 goals on 14 shots against the Wings last night. He did so in 24:32 TOI. His save% is now .898.

You're telling me they couldn't have spread those shots out more over the course of the game? Gutless.

When is Lindy Ruff going to take some blame there? He's gotten a long enough leash with that team this year. Maybe its time to finally move on from him.

At this point Enroth's gotta be the #1 IMO. .924 sv% while having to relieve Miller due to performance three times (once due to injury) along with 18 starts. Whatever's up with Miller, it's submarining their chances at a playoff berth.

Obviously doesn't help that Ehrhoff and Regehr are out, and Lindy could certainly be going stale, but it's clear who the better goalie's been.
