Let's go undefeated in 2012.

Win, because we can't be as bad as the Wizards.

Heading downtown in a bit for some drinks prior to tip off. Any other DC SOSHers heading to the phonebooth for this one?

New Wiz unis are mad swank.

They just need to change the team name.

Lewis and Young might be the most individually one-dimensional swingman pair in the league.

Rondo has a fine two-man game with each of Pierce and Garnett, and he makes them better players. It's great to watch a playmaker whose instincts really are to pass first.

Rebounding looking better early on tonight.

I thought I read Bradley was losing his minutes to Moore?

Stiemsma looks good again.

Another block for Steimsma.

Yes, A. Sherrod tweeted that Doc said Moore had moved past Bradley. Maybe this is his one last chance. If so, he's already blown it.

Bradley needs to be cut.

Sign Gilbert Arenas. At least it will be entertaining.

Three quick fouls for Bradley, although the refs bailed out Wall on that last one.

Jermaine has actually been fairly effective working in the post offensively.

Absolutely brutal call against O'Neal. The ref (who was blocked) assumed that he was pushing off with his right arm. Cost the C's two FTs.

Rondo is just fun to watch.

Too bad JO couldnt finish that play w/o a foul.

And JO immediately picks up his third foul. Ugh.

That was a hilariously ugly sequence of events. Steimsma's block looked pretty clean to me though.

Wizards offense looks like it's run by Avery Bradley.

Steimsma again providing the weakside D. That block/foul was big time.

Oy vey Bass, gotta have better ball awareness than that.

And Stiemsma's block looked clean on replay.

Dunk by Steimsma.
Block by Steimsma.

The guy is going to carve out a nice little career in this league.

When Rondo is not on the floor, the offense is an absolute mess. This should be a 20 point lead right now.

We haven't seen enough of Stiemsma to suss out the suck, but I'm not understanding why he hasn't gotten a legitimate chance before. He's a seven-footer who can block shots, looks competent defensively, and is active on both ends of the floor. Meanwhile, Shelden Williams keeps getting work.

He knocked on the door with a couple cup-of-coffee contracts before.

Then he signed with a team in Turkey for 2 years, which I assume meant he had to stay there.

This year he had a great Pan-Am games, was free from Turkey, and has now found a place in the league (presumably) longer term.

He's simply a better player now than the last time NBA teams had access to him.

Jermaine has no spring left in his legs. He's getting out-jumped, stuffed, and generally left behind in gravity's embrace.

Injured, he bruised his shoulder in the Miami game and didn't make the trip.

Thanks -- Stiemsma has been a pleasant surprise, but it would have been a pity to think that the offseason's primary big man signing had fallen off the depth chart faster than Avery Bradley.

If the Celtics were the Sandra Bullock bus, taking Rondo out of the game would result in immediate explosive carnage.

Fun off-topic NBA fact: Steve Francis was DeMarcus Cousins' favorite player. It takes some pretty hefty balls to demand a trade 85 games into your career while receiving playing time.
