Thank you Lakers for softening them up for the Clipps!

As much as lowry has improved.he made cp3 look like he had good knees.

The Hawks will never amount to anything. This core just doesn't have it.

How terrible are the atlanta fans? 20 seconds left, the game tied at the end of second OT and they still don't make any noise and you can hear to the PA announcer trying to rally them in vain.

Triple OT best way to start off a back-to-back-to-back. Hawks are gonna be exhausted the next two nights. Worth it if they can pull this out. Great game for Ivan "Who?" Johnson.

This is a hilarious game by the way. Charles is just tired of being there and calling out everybody any time they do something bad.

I also loved when Charles told the pilots of his jet to NYC to get the beers on ice.

He's got to get back to 30 Rock. His plane was supposed to leave half an hour ago. SNL dress rehearsal starts early in the morning.

Atlanta has a terrible coach to go with their terrible team. 5 of the Heat in street clothes including the Big Two.

Lakers don't make a 3-pointer in a game for the first time in 8 1/2 years. Portland wins by 11 with only 4 turnovers.

Donkey off to a good start for the Hands Down, Man Downers vs the Lakers. 9 points (4-6 shooting) in ~ 11 minutes and frustrating Caillou on both ends of the floor.

Watching Phoenix-Portland. Seeing Steve Nash struggle through double-teams, Marcus Camby struggle to block shots or block people out, and Grant Hill reach for his ankles during every break in the action, makes me feel incredible old.

Camby finished with 11 rebounds in 23 minutes. He has plenty of left on the glass and in the defensive paint.

Hawks won at Miami, the next day dominated the Bulls on the road for three quarters before running out of gas, lost a triple OT game against the Heat and then win in OT at Charlotte in another back-to back. Of course tonight they host the Bulls for their 5th game in six nights.

The Hornets announcers have that giddy "We just traded away the franchise so let's pretend we prefer the below average to average young talent" act going on real strong. They raved over a Dajuan Summers block for about two minutes before announcing that it was actually goaltending.

The PBP guy calls them the Bees. Horrible, sounds like a high school announcer.

Plus, it makes no sense. They're not even in the same family of insect. Watch this week as the Bees face the Minnesota Badgers and the Memphis Walruses.

And down go the Heat! Its safe to say that they got Donkey-punched tonight as NateRob scored 17 points in the second half and played some hands up, man up D too. Warriors had Miami their first loss on the road in OT.

I'm picking A-Rod to win the MVP in 2012 with 93 homeruns and an OPS of a billion, since he had the same "experimental treatment" in Germany that has apparently given Kobe mutant powers at age 33.

I'm guessing nobody is watching the CLippers/Heat game?

LeBron James has a chance to tie the game up down 2 with 11 seconds remaining, he makes 1 FT and misses the next until Wade deflects the ball out of bounds off a Clippers player, so Heat ball. LeBron again gets fouled with 5.1 seconds remaining down 1 and misses yet ANOTHER FT, but makes the next one to tie it up. LeBron is a head case.

EDIT: CP3 misses the floater, going into OT.

That was a RIDICULOUS move by CP3 but no dice on the shot. Another OT game for Miami. Rooting for the Heat (and the Pick) tonight, but I certainly won't be heartbroken if the Clips take it.

Lebron dropping a giant turd on this OT.

And LeBron misses his first two FG's into OT, Heat down 86-90. I don't know what's better, witnessing the Mark Sanchez blow a game, watching A-Rod GIDP with the game on the line or watching LeBron choke away another game.

Miami lost. Total collapse once again. LeBron not making his free throws to win in regulation. And D-Wade and LeBron going 0-4 in OT.

EDIT: Also LeBron is the one that fouled Billups on the 3 pt attempt with about a minute left.

Luckily LeBron missed most of them, especially the important ones in the 4th and in OT. Dude has a case of the yips.

Free throw attempts

Lebron: 17
Clippers team: 22

14.3% of LeBron's FG attempts were assisted on last night.

For the Clippers, the numbers looked like this:

Blake Griffin: 88.9%
Caron Butler: 100%
Chauncey Billups: 100%
DeAndre Jordan: 100%
Randy Foye: 100%
Mo Williams: 33%
Chris Paul: 0%

When you're scoring on an assisted shot, you're much less likely to draw a foul. Part of the reason the Clips didn't go to the line much last night is that Chris Paul was getting his teammates open looks. Meanwhile, the Heat looked lost in half court sets, and basically LeBron and Wade were just taking turns in iso plowing towards the basket.

Poor Udoh. Trying to guard Dwight when two of him would still be too skinny. DH finishes the 1st half with 19 and 12.

He might be better at the line if he took hook shots.

A Rondo/Ellis backcourt would be wild to watch.

Looks like he started to focus; hit a bunch in a row now. Anybody who can hit 8 straight FT shouldn't be shooting under 50% on the season.

He is shattering the NBA record for FTAs in a game... 31 was the previous mark, he's at 34 with five minutes left.

edit: I guess the record was 34... doesn't matter, he killed that too. 39 now. GS is running out of centers to foul him.

Wow... I thought it was a typo when I looked at the box score...

Did he say that he thought it was out of respect or disrespect when he was talking with Craig Seager? I couldn't tell.

So Howard went to the line 39 times? And just about every big person GS had fouled out? Boy, I bet that game was fun to watch. The NBA has such a great product.

Kings with 23 points in the first half tonight vs. Dallas

David Lee had a double double ( with 21 pts, 12 boards I believe) in the first half, yet the Warriors were still down by 20.

Weird year.

I'm watching the Heat play San Antonio in Miami. Nine fouls called on San Antonio in the first quarter (mostly on LeBron), zero on Miami. It's now early in the second quarter and Duncan picked up a T after Bosh fouled him (a cute little shove with the off hand) and there was no call. How long is this crap going to be allowed to continue?

Something I just learned about James Jones - brushing his outstretched arm after he's taken a three and landed firmly on his feet causes him to drop like he's been shot.

The Spurs have completely outplayed the Heat, but it's just a matter of time before the refs award the game to Miami.
