Beauty of this run, is that with everyone but Sean Carter back, can see UMass getting some love in polls to start next year. Will be interesting to see what type of an out of conference schedule they put together for next year, should be a little more ambitious then this past year, and should attempt to avoid scheduling any sub 150-200 RPI type schools.
DK can have a tougher schedule because he knows he'll have a veteran team that won't panic on the road. Really looking forward to the next two years of Umass basketball to see where the program goes from here. You have to think Kellogg isn't angling for the next job, like Travis Ford.

Definitely not. He's from Springfield and is a UMass guy. He is here to build this program back up hopefully to the glory days of the early to mid 90's. I can't see him sandbagging UMass for another program.

Vinson! Holy crap.
He played immense tonight. Showing ideal big man moves using his body to ramp up the foul counts on Givens & McCoy, taking smart percentage shots, and getting to the line. Just a huge, huge comeback win at a hostile venue that was a blast to watch.
Hard to believe they could still come away with a W despite getting out-rebounded 36-16, including 20-6 on the offensive glass.

Great win, but if I was Coach Kellogg I would have this team practice boxing out the next few days. The defensive rebounding was terrible.
Interesting lineup during the comeback with Carter and Putney on the bench so a lot of the 2nd half.
This is great experience for next year.

This is the key. With a relatively young team, these games are enormous for their development. Not that he wouldn't, but I love the intensity with which Kellogg is coaching these games. The brief shot of him turning around and getting the UMass faithful fired up put a huge grin on my face.
This team has some brass balls and you gotta figure it stems from their coach. It's tough not to be a fan of his.

One thing I have noticed from watching this team over the last month. You can get any shot you want against them. They do not play much D.
They struggle when the press isn't effective. They do okay defending the rim when their athletic bigs gang up on the shooter, but that has obviously left a lot of room for offensive boards.
Not looking good for the Zoo right now.
They've got Stanford right where they want them.

BC ends the hoops series, why am I not surprised as UMass is finally trending up.
