2 Us, 2 Ks, 2 more huge points.

8-0 dominance with Zach Hamill leading all forwards in TOI, just like they drew it up.

They drew and quartered the Panthers tonight. Just amazing.

The fans chanting merry Christmas was great.

Correct. Hasn't given up a goal since replacing Thomas in Columbus.

Also amusing, tonight Marchand raised his scoring pace from 31-31-62 to 37-35-72.

That was the most relaxing and dominant win I've been to, ever. Between the Carol of the Bells intro, the Rene Rancourt Christmas Carols, the "Merry Christmas" chants, and and 8-0 win, it really couldn't have been a better Christmas game. Unreal.

Yeah that was a lot of fun. Chara, Lucic, Krejci all kind of played like crap and the Bruins still dominated. The Panthers never stood a chance with the schedule though.

People looked at me strangely as I yelled out BALLS for that goal on the NHL Network replay. I did not feel strange at all and actually looked down upon said people for their blatant disrespect. Long live BALLS.

I'm sure there was a confused driver or two in eastern Nova Scotia last night as I screamed BALLS, then transitioned into the German national anthem for Seidenberg.

In summation, 8-0 curbstompings make a 16-hour drive a lot better.

Eight goools, and only 1 from the first line (Looch PP). Deep depth.

Just before the second line took the ice with 10 minutes left in the contest, Seguin told Marchand to "be ready," saying "If I get any pucks in the slot, I'm giving it to you," in Marchand's words.

I love this team.

Southern New Hampshire to the soon-to-be in-laws in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. It's a fun drive if you like kamikaze missions, since I almost always draw some kind of weather with me whenever i go up here.

I've had worse than this one, but it was crap at the bookends: NH 101 had just turned from rain to snow as I got started and the roads were covered in a thick, slippery slush, then up in Cape Breton, the plow operators must've been drunk doing the Cabot Trail. Literally every road between the NH/ME border and the turn-off from the TCH in Cape Breton was just fine.

I didn't see it, but according to twitter ESPN did a tribute to all the athletes that died this year and didn't include one hockey player. Between Rypien, Boorgaard, and Lokomotiv, there was plenty of tragedy in the hockey world, probably more than any other sport. That's fucked up.

There were two highlights relating to hockey on the Sportscenter year end montage. One was Crosby coming back and another was Chara raising the Cup.

But I did get to see about 50 dunks and a handful of buzzer beaters from college basketball games the last couple of months.
