I was just thinking about this guy over the last couple days while lamenting the crushing loss in Indianapolis.

In addition to the personal implications of losing that game vs. New York, I would imagine one of the main reasons Brady was so distraught after the game was because he knew Martinez was about to kick the bucket. I bet he wanted nothing more than to lift Martinez spirits with one last Super Bowl victory. Ditto for Bob Kraft.

Really sad overall for the Martinez family, and it really sucks for Brady who seemed to idolize this guy. It's been a rough last couple of years (professionally at least) for Brady.

Because he said it was, that's how so.

That was a really touching video about Brady and Martinez. CBS showed it Thanksgiving morning. I watched it a couple of more times and erased it from the DVR a month ago. I was hoping Martinez was going to get a few more years. Sad.

We've heard a lot about how Brady has extremely high expectations, so I imagine not winning a Super Bowl the last couple of years makes it frustrating. Naturally, I'm totally speculating here.
