Brady accepting responsibility for the dust up with O'Brien saying he deserved to get called out.

I think the whole BOB/Beady dust up started because Brady was laying into Kid n Play, BOB was defending the young receiver.

Yes, on WSBK they showed the followup to the interception and it sure looked like Brady was jawing at someone before O'Brien got involved.

If you rewatch it that seems the most likely explanation.

The argument starts as Underwood approaches and Brady yells something at him and that is when O'Brien starts laying into Brady. Looked like a pretty shitty throw so I can understand why BOB would defend Underwood there.

Best guess from what I can see:

Brady (to Underwood): "Go get it!"

O'Brien: [unclear]

Brady (to O'Brien): EDIT -- Paul's right. Looking at it again I'm 99% it's "He wasn't fucking undercut!"

O'Brien: [unclear -- probably something along the lines of "You can't throw a pick there" with more colorful language]

Brady (to O'Brien): "No shit! ... He was open!"

Caught more of it...

To Underwood, "you gotta go get it"..

BO steps in says something.

TB to BO "he wasn't fucking undercut".

BO says something.

TB "no shit".

Agree with the he was open comment..

Yeah, I can't read lips, but this looks roughly to me like Brady and BOB were talking and when House Party came over, Brady snarled at him and BOB gave Brady some version of "Bitch please" so Brady snarled at him whereupon BOB suggested that Brady do something to himself both obscene and impossible.

Our section was at least 40% Pats fans. Not Fenway South percentages, but still pretty damn impressive. Overall I gotta say it was a good day.

Yep, it's Tuesday. I'm treating the gamethread rules like Pats fans treated Vinatieri.

Stage 1: The Turnaround. Complete.
Stage 2: The Momentum Builder. Complete.
Stage 3: The Defensive Posture. Complete.
Stage 4: The Don't Overlook Game. Complete.
Stage 5: The Play 60 Minutes Game.

Pats by 6.

Very nice.

I'm glad Brady acknowledged he was wrong, because he was. A field goal is so important in that situation that there is no reason to be throwing a pass anywhere near a defender. He tried to thread a needle when a rookie QB should be smart enough to throw it away in that situation. THEN he gets to the sidelines and is telling the WR what he did was wrong. No Tom, a FG ices the game. You are the dumbass.

Every Patriots loss this season can be tied to mistakes by Brady. So is it unfair for us to expect Tom to play mistake free? I don't think so. Basically, I look at every game as follows - you are allowed so many mistakes as much as you make. The more you make, the less mistakes you can make. Thus Sergio Brown is allowed at least 100 mistakes before Brady is allowed one. If Brady can't handle that pressure, then drop your salary to Brown's level. Your paid the most of all NFL active players, then start f$%kin playin like it you prima donna! No more mistakes.

Brady has been winding himself very tightly the last few seasons. Either the cameras are catching more of his sideline blow ups than in previous seasons, or his temper is getting shorter.

All of what you said is true. But I don't think Brady was calling Underwood a dumbass. I saw him yell "you gotta fight for it." Which is something Underwood's got to learn - yes it was Brady's fault but Underwood could have been more forceful trying to hold his position against the defender (he was getting squeezed out of the back on the endzone by the defender) and be more forceful in either snatching it or breaking it up. Of course, it's a mistake by Brady but it's also a learning point for Underwood.

Spoken like one who has never been the best at anything.

The whole history of successful NFL teams that rely on one player playing mistake-free football is exactly zero teams. If Sergio Brown misses 100 tackles and Brady throws one interception, I'm pretty sure Sergio cost them the game.

It certainly feels this way, doesn't it? NFL Films does an excellent job of capturing the game up close, and most of the footage of Brady on the sidelines the last few years seems to be of a very pissed off quarterback. We've seen him standing on the sidelines, arms crossed with BB during the '09 Saints game with a stern look on his face, the pacing along the sidelines at the Steelers game last year screaming at his teammates (presumably to pump them up), the Colts game last week, and footage like today. I'm sure he's more smiles during a blowout, but it seems anytime the offense stalls these days, we get shots of Brady on the sideline looking mad as hell. It is perfectionism? Ego? Pressure to put points on the board knowing the quality of the defense?

Great time at FEDEX yesterday. As has been stated, the crowd was at least 35-40% Pats fans and fan-wise it felt sort of like a Super Bowl between two teams/cities that are not traditional rivals. There wasn't a lot of animosity in the stands despite the huge invasion of Pats fans.

Even when Pats fans went nuts at the Mayo pick and subsequent replay confirmation, the locals just sort of sighed.

Last, while it never got incredibly loud in there due to the huge number of Pats fans diluting the crowd, experiencing a closed yet not domed stadium was just one more reminder of how Kraft robbed the Pats of an important aspect of home field advantage when he sacrificed noise for aesthetics with those open ends.
