The only Yankee I ever really liked. He has throat polyps. 1 month recovery expected.

It's okay. He has 'I have to thank God for that' already printed out on an index card so he can still conduct interviews.

After all that choking in 2004, I'm surprised it's taken this long to get fixed. (Too obvious?)

Here's hoping the procedure adversely affects his pitch echo location.

Too ignorant, but maybe you missed the actual series.

No, but too soon.

Too ignorant, but maybe you missed the actual series.

Oh lighten up, Francis. Where has the laughter gone?

I'm all for good jokes, just thought that was dumb. Maybe a swimming pool one?

You forget, it was the Red Sox who choked

For what it's worth (not much, I know), I was at the opening day game the next year when he got a rousing ovation for his back-to-back blown saves in games 4 and 5, and his reaction was great. I've always liked him for the way he handled that, essentially laughing along with everyone.

It was also for a couple of blown saves in the season-opening series in the Bronx a week or so before, if memory serves.
