Ladies and Gentlemen of SoSH.

I'd like to introduce you to the 2010-2011 Stanley Cup Champions, the Boston Fucking Bruins.

Posted Image

Bears hate November. Something about the constant state of transition. From the warmth of Autumn sun to the beginning of Winter cold. The holidays...bears hate the holidays, and Christmas songs. They hate the idea that the entire purpose of November is to prepare for December. These Bears kinda liked November, but they're hungry for December. They plan on meeting November with a roar.

Trying not to spend more time looking back
There's still a bit more to go

To be a dog would be so awesome.

So far today my puppy has
- been taken outside to shit 4 times
- had breakfast served to him
- slept on the couch for 2 hours
- chased a ball
- and gotten fawned over by 4 hot UT girls this morning on our walk. I think one of them accidentally touched his penis too.

I fucking hate this dog.

So I rewatched Game 7 vs. Vancouver, the CBC feed, and Ron MacLean was doing some on-ice interviews with Chara and Lucic. Amazingly, MacLean didn't look like a midget next to Chara and actually looked as tall as Lucic. It makes me wonder if he's really that tall or if they had a step for him to stand on for those two.

The places the mind goes when you have a head cold.

Oh yeah, beat the Kessels.

Also, for those interested, the NHL website has the Leafs morning skate at the Air Canada Centre on their Arena Cam.

I know a guy that moderates over there & everytime I see him, I ask him how he puts up with that shitshow. It's like a bunch of 6 year olds fighting in a sandbox half the time. And for the record, I like Jared Knight a lot, he's a great kid and if he can stay healthy he'll be a good NHL player. I see a guy that plays ten years in this league on the third line, scores in the low 20's, plays good defense and provides speed. A Marco Sturm type player. That's what cracks me up about that board though, saying that you like a prospect that was taken in the 2nd round and think he'll be Marco Sturm is considered an insult. If this organization consistently develops 2nd round picks into Marco Sturm, they will be an upper echelon team in terms of drafting/player development. On that board though, every prospect is either elite or they suck.

C'mon! A team that doesn't develop top end scoring talent could never win the Stanley Cup! Look at the Bruins last year! They had...

Umm...

Shut up!

Good friend of mine from college is getting his doctorate in Math at UT. He's Saudi, and swears that girls like the ones there are one of the main reasons that he keeps extending his (sponsored) studies. He's gotta work a year back in Saudi Arabia for every year they pay for here. I think he's about 6 or 7 years in the hole at this point.

Broons pr0n

From article 1:

In fact, teammate Chris Kelly dropped the word "superstar" when answering a question about Seguin on Wednesday morning at Air Canada Centre. Wait ... superstar?

"Yeah, I think so," said Kelly. "He's 19 years old. Most 19-year-old guys are playing junior hockey getting $50 a week. They're not being a consistent point producer in the NHL on a good hockey team (who) won a Stanley Cup.

"The sky's the limit for him. I think it's in his hands how far he wants to go."

...

Another change has started to come from opponents.

"I think right now being the leading scorer on our team, there's no doubt other teams are going to pay more attention to him," said coach Claude Julien. "Now he's got to overcome that challenge of teams playing harder than they did maybe at the beginning of the season when they probably didn't respect him as much as they do now. That's another area he's going to have to grow in.

"I have confidence in his personality and his demeanour and all that stuff that he can overcome that."

From article 2:

Seguin leads the NHL in plus-minus (plus-19) and is T-20th in scoring with 23 points. While he’s not the youngest player in the top-20 — that distinction goes to Edmonton’s Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, who’s 18 — he might have the most dramatic flair. With less than 100 NHL games to his credit, Seguin has already won Game 7 of a Stanley Cup final, scored six points in his first two playoff games and notched his first career hat-trick against Toronto (on Hockey Night in Canada, no less.)

The prospect of “Tyler Seguin, Superstar” is scary for the rest of the NHL. An argument could be made that the Bruins already have the game’s best defenseman (Zdeno Chara) and goaltender (Tim Thomas).

To think they’re fast-tracking the next great forward….yikes.

My head and heart are fucking pounding thanks to some douche setting off the fire alarm in my building. It's grad student housing so undoubtedly it was some guy who can build robots or some shit but can't use a microwave properly.

Of course, I couldn't leave the building like I'm supposed to because I had a raging megahuge Seguin-boner at the time.

I don't know how anybody moderates that site without resorting to hellbanning. FFS I just want to know how the college prospects are doing because there's no convenient way to track them on a game-to-game or week-to-week basis (Bill Ladd has the excellent In The System stat compilation page, but it's just season totals), I don't want to wade through 4 pages of dick measuring hoping for an actual update. And then when there finally is a random prospect update amidst the inane blather, it's for CARL FUCKING SODERBERG. Are you kidding me? No wonder it's CC's favorite board.

Win tonight, I don't want anybody but TSC starting December.
