Fuck you.Guys, seriously. You know there's hockey on, right? And it's like...way better of a sport than basketball...and the Boston Bruins are the reigning Stanley Cup Champion, right?
Fuck basketball.
Or, to put it another way, enjoy the Bruins to your heart's content, and leave us poor basketball-starved fans in peace.

Ummm.... Where I live, we get to watch the Stars. Sometimes. Not that the Stars are the worst hockey team, but I have developed no loyalty to them. Welcome, basketball!!!

I live in Texas too, you know. And I still get to watch the Stanley Cup Champion Boston Bruins every game.
So what's your point again?

Basketball > Hockey, if one's only option is to watch the Stars (tight budget)

Everyone knows that ice dancing is the only real sport and everything else is just a waste of time.

That's actually what he teaches at his open-air ice hockey rink in Austin ( a concept I still haven't fully wrapped my inadequate head around).

Just win this one and 29 more and save the rest for the playoffs.
Some things about this shortened season just don't sound right.
For instance: A 30-win basketball season... is a good season?
Either way, putting things back in perspective, let's see more of this:

Yeah, they can sneak in the playoffs as the No. 8 seed at 30-36, and then steamroll their way to the Finals.Just win this one and 29 more and save the rest for the playoffs.

Yes, but do you really want them playing the No. 1 seed first? I'd like to think that the Celtics are better than that, in fact good enough to win at least 45 games. It really wouldn't be surprising to see a team win 29-31 out of 66 and get in in the east. Last season, the Pacers got in at 37-45. Two years earlier the Pistons were the eight seed at 39-43. The Hawks were also 37-45 as the last team in in 2008. The eight seed in the east is like getting into the NCAA Tournament for winning the America East Conference.

The NBA, where the pre-game show is usually better than the game.

The lockout was brutal but it sure is nice to have the C's back.
This will be a battle of their bigs vs our guards and I think Rondo has a monster game today. I can't wait to see Toney Douglas try to stay in front of Rondo all game. I'm also pretty excited to see what the new guys have to offer (Bass, Wilcox, Dooling, and the rooks).
Let's Go C's!
