Yep, It's Tuesday. I'm treating the rules like Edelman treated the KC Punt Coverage.

Stage 1-The Turnaround. Complete
Stage 2-The Momentum Builder. Complete
Stage 3-The Defensive Posture.

Pats by 6.

I'm pretty worried about this game and I'll tell you why. I learned back in August in the Desean Jackson thread that Jackson is way better than Welker .Not even close. In fact, Welker's numbers were simply temporarily inflated by playing with Randy Moss and now Welker has zero chance of matching Jackson yard-for-yard...it was explained pretty thoughtfully.

Which basically means that any week now Jackson is going to top Welker's 2011 stats by outgaining him by around 500 yards.

I really hope it's not Sunday.

+10000 internetz pts

Anyway I am interested to see how much success the Patriots will have running the ball. The Eagles DE's (Cole/Babin) are really aggressive in rushing the passer and this should open up holes for BGJE.

Eagles evaluating the extent of Nnamdi's injury. Carted off of practice with what appears to be a knee injury. Report ahead on NFL Network

https://twitter.com/#!/JasonLaCanfora/status/139751708006940673

That would be huge if Nmamdi is out.

Apparently Vick did not practice today, and Nnamdi was carted out of practice with a knee injury. I got both of these from Rapaport's Twitter, but I haven't seen the Nnamdi thing confirmed anywhere else.

Apparently the turkey/stuffing has slowed down my internet response time...

I should be worried about this, having seen what the Iggles can do when they're on... but it's Vince freaking Young. If Vince Freaking Young beats the Pats... man. Pats win so long as they don't lose the turnover battle by more than one.

Carted off is normally disastrous. I would be shocked if he plays this week and would expect something potentially season-ending.

Tarpinian to IR with an "illness" to his head, per BB.

Concussion, or something worse? Sounds bad, poor guy.

If Asomugha is out Sunday, thats a huge blow to the Eagles D. Rodgers-Cromartie is already out with an ankle injury, so thats 2 of their top 3 cb's out for the game. That actually matches the Pats D :(

Andy Reid: Dunlap out, Maclin doubtful, Asomugha doubtful (hyperextended knee), Vick is questionable.

EaglesInsider left out that Nmamdi is also doubtful.

I know I'd rather face Vick than Young. Just like we've "learned" how inferior Welker is from our Philly friends, I recall learning just how great Vick is and how worth the $40 million. I persist in ignorance and don't think so -- Young is underrated and Vick overrated, and has long been such.

Will feel much more comfortable with this game if Nnamdi is out. If he is out, I'll call it Pats 28-21. If he plays, will make it Iggles 23-20.

Although if he plays when he's not really very capable of playing it's not so terrible. And likewise Id rather The Patriots face an Injured Vick than a healthy Young.

Final injury reports for both teams. Nmamdi is officially listed as questionable. Ochocinco missed practice today and joins Deion Branch as questionable. Spikes and Fletcher are out again while King Dunlap is out for Philly. Hoping that Light can go so Solder can be used all over the formation again and that Chung can get back in there. Pretty big also that McCourty is going to try to give it a go as well.

Patriots
Out
LB Dane Fletcher - DNP, thumb
LB Brandon Spikes - DNP, knee

Questionable
WR Deion Branch - LP, hip
S Patrick Chung - LP, foot
C Dan Connolly - LP, groin
LB Gary Guyton - LP, shoulder
S James Ihedigbo - LP shoulder
OT Matt Light - LP, ankle
CB Devin McCourty - LP, shoulder
WR Chad Ochocinco - DNP, hamstring (was not listed yesterday)
WR Taylor Price - LP, hamstring
WR Matthew Slater - LP, shoulder
OT Sebastian Vollmer - LP, back

Probable
OG Brian Waters - LP, knee
WR Wes Welker - LP, knee

Eagles
Out
OT King Dunlap - DNP, concussion

Doubtful
WR Jeremy Maclin - DNP, hamstring/shoulder

Questionable
CB Nnamdi Asamougha - DNP, knee (downgraded from yesterday)
CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie - LP, ankle
QB Michael Vick - LP, ribs

Probable
WR DeSean Jackson - LP, foot

Yikes. What happens if Branch, 85, Price and Slater are all out? Edelman and Welker? Or nothing but 3 TE formations? Does Solder catch his first pass?
Edit: added Branch to list

I agree Vick is underrated and Young overrated, but that doesn't make Young better than Vick. Passing numbers are surprisingly similar, but of course Vick is a much more dangerous runner.

Judging by the injury report the Patriots were apparently part of the charge of the light brigade. Sheesh

I figured but I decided to be a jerk about it anyway. They did sign Tiquan Underwood, so if all those guys can't play I'm guessing he's plan C (behind Welker and Edelman). I expect a couple of them to suit up, anyway.

Chung (foot), McCourty (shoulder), Ocho (hamstring), and Connolly (groin) already ruled out. They join Fletcher (thumb) and Spikes (knee) on the inactive list.

Pats will only have one more deactivation to make.

I am going to be the least tame I've ever been during a football game. Philly scares me.

Yup, throwing caution to the wind and wearing the Brady jersey. Hopefully Philly's version of the wine in cheesers in the club section will be tame.

Great day for a football game. Here's to the Patriots cooperating.

My uncle has been a season ticket holder for the Pat for over 20 years, my twelve year old and I went to the SD game and he basically threatened to kill us if we did something stupid while in his seats. His reasoning is people can text anonymously and say you are being an asshole and he could lose his tickets. I am sure this is happening all over the NFL. The tickets are valuable and the teams don't need the headaches.

We did laugh at him. My son and I are super mellow. I barely drank at the tailgate. We really enjoyed the game, I am torn about live football vs.hd football on a 46 inch TV. Really cool to see Vincent Jackson catch balls while triple covered live.

Short public service announcement.

Apparently the tailgating has been real heavy today due to the nice weather and the fact that it is Thanksgiving weekend and folks are in high spirits. I have gotten two messages that "the crowd is going to be pretty boozed up, folks are hammered."

For folks at the game just remember, the danger in Philly isn't just that the crowd gets overly raucous, it's also that the policing is terrible - 200 yards from the stadium there are very few cops and it will be dark when the game is letting out. Be careful and make good decisions. The odds of anything happening are low, but still. Today would be a good day to buy an on sale Eagles shirt to cover up a jersey for the walk to your car.

And with that I will leave you guys to the thread, enjoy the game.
