EDIT - And just as I post that, WMU's Jordan White runs 60 yards for a score. That drive took all of 38 seconds. The PAT makes it 49-42. It's on ESPN-U.
EDIT - WMU ties it up 49-49 with 13:22 left in the game.
EDIT - Toledo takes a 56-49 lead with 8:32 remaining, and now they've recovered a fumble at the WMU 30 with 8:20 left. It's worth noting that Toledo lost last week to Northern Illinois 63-60, the 2nd-highest scoring game in MAC history, though the 123 points is the most ever in regulation. A conference record 17 TDs were scored, and there've been 15 so far tonight.
EDIT - Toledo gets to the 12 and fumbles it right back to WMU. Less than 7:00 to play.
EDIT - WMU punts, Toledo caps a 74-yard drive with an Adonis Thomas 42-yard TD run to make it 63-49 with 4:22 left. They won't break the D-1 record, but a new conference record is still possible.

63-56, Rockets.
EDIT - Toledo recovers the onsides kick. They just went over the 800 total yard mark -- a school record 813 to be exact. WMU's racked 561.
EDIT - The Rockets have to settle for a FG with 1:51 left. WMU will be airing it out again, and they've already had 3 TD drives tonight in a minute or less.
EDIT - Holy shit. A 71-yard drive takes just 50 seconds. It's 66-63 Toledo with 1:01 left. A new MAC record in back-to-back weeks and both of them involved the Rockets. This is incredible.
EDIT - WMU nearly recovered the onside kick, and he was running full tilt down the right sideline. But the ball bounced just over his hands and out of bounds. Toledo ball, but the Broncs still have 2 time-outs.
EDIT - The teams have combined for 1,450 yards.
EDIT - WMU uses its TOs, but the 3rd down play brings the clock down to 3 seconds. Toledo will just run it out and then take a knee as they become bowl eligible. Phew.

The two guys who really impressed me tonight were WR Jordan White (WMU) and RB Adonis Thomas (Toledo), though both appear to be undersized for the NFL. White's 6-0/215 while Thomas is 5-10/185. Still, they're insanely talented athletes with incredible quickness.

But if the Yellowjackets lose by a TD or less, it'll be likely because of one of the stupidest unnecessary roughness penalties I've ever seen early in the 3rd. They'd held VT to a 3-and-out at the Hokie 17, the last stop on a sack that was whistled dead by the official. The tackler, LB Jeremiah Attaochu, threw a punch at the QB's head as the gang tackle was breaking up after the whistle. 15 yards, automatic first down, and five plays later VT scored to go up 27-26.
I'll never understand how coaches handle this crap.

Northwestern doesn't really matter this weekend, since they're playing Rice.
EDIT: State now up 14-0 after a Johnny Adams interception and Edwin Baker TD reception.

Game.Huskers force a fumble. Points here probably put this out of reach.
Texas has a punt blocked, but they hold Missouri inside the 5, forcing a field goal.
Ohio State got an early TD on a rush by Braxton Miller. OSU needs to get a stop here to sustain this momentum. Michigan State and Northwestern are in charge in their games.

Also, just got in and saw that Cinci QB Zach Collaros went out with a leg injury in the 2nd quarter against WV. Per ESPN:
Collaros retreated toward his end zone while trying to avoid the rush and was tackled by Bruce Irvin, forcing a fumble. Collaros' right leg twisted underneath him as he went down. Julian Miller recovered the fumble in the end zone, giving the Mountaineers a 17-7 lead.
Anyone see how serious it was?

Why the fuck is Channel 5 in Boston continuing to air Okla St kicking the shit out of Texas Tech -- two dust bowl teams nobody in New England gives a rat's ass about even where there's a competitive game being played -- instead of switching over to WV-Cinci, which is now a 17-14 game in the Big East?

* Newman just missed his second FG attempt for Wake, who now lead Clemson by just a TD with ~8:00 to play. Tigers now driving at the Wake 12.
* Iowa has drawn to within 34-21 and is driving on the Spartan 40 with 10:43 left.
* Cinci has 1st & 10 at the WVU 42 down 17-14.
* Florida just scored to draw within 14-12 of SC in Columbia, but missed on the 2-point conversion pass.

ABC and ESPN make all decisions on what games are shown what affiliates. Either way I don't think the network has the technical capabilities to switch a fraction of its audience to a new game.As long as I have a shitload of questions, here's another:

You would think that it would make them more money to switch everyone to a competitive game at this point, though, not just a fraction. I can't imagine how many people have tuned out of the OKSt game due to lack of interest.

I assume ABC will switch the audience over to WVU-Cincy at the conclusion of the game, but they don't want to piss off affiliates in Lubbock and Stillwater by taking it off the air early. Ever since Heidi games are always shown to their completion, no matter the score. You would think that it would make them more money to switch everyone to a competitive game at this point, though, not just a fraction. I can't imagine how many people have tuned out of the OKSt game due to lack of interest.
