Really? He's pretty clearly mocking Fireman Ed's J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS chant.

OK, I get it now. I just went back to that point in the gamethread and saw some comments saying the same thing. I've never paid much attention to that douche.

Also, Nator is from the future.

Any chance someone can make up a gif of the Edelman hit on Tomlinson?

Some highlights from thread titles:

'Run the ball idiots.'

Funny thing about this? There was another thread complaining that the Jets were getting away from 'What they are' by running the ball too much - that what the Jets are is Sanchez throwing a lot (of picks, presumably).

Yeah, and there is already a huge clutter for the WC positions.

I'm pretty confident that Buffalo is out. Jets are on their heels, too.

Jets have a habit of losing the big games everyone thinks they'll win, and winning the ones where they're getting written off, though. They looked in serious trouble and people thought they would go '2-2 at best' for the four-game stretch up to and including NE. Then they win the first three, and all of a sudden, people expect them to beat New England, so of course they don't.

Yup, a team that really seems to thrive on being the underdog. One reason Id really, really rather not see them a third time this season.

NY PostWho says Bill Belichick is a boring quote? As the Patriots coach walked off the MetLife Stadium field, he threw his arm around his son, Stephen, and added an exclamation mark to the Patriots’ 37-16 victory over the Jets. “Thirty-seven points on the best defense in the league, suck my dick” the Patriots coach said in celebration. The remark just adds to the humiliating defeat the Patriots handed the Jets. The man in the hoodie doesn’t deliver gems like that to the press, but he clearly relished in beating the brash-talking Rex Ryan and the Jets.

That's pretty awesome. The stands still look fairly fulling the back ground and you can hear a fan yelling, "you got this". Was this during halftime?

You can hear it clearly, "Hey Rex, Belichick is better than you."

Great stuff.

A few on-site morsels:

- "Kill Brady" and cheering Pats injuries...a regular occurrence all night. Stay classy, NY. Do Pats fans cheer opposing player injuries? Maybe yes but I honestly don't recall that.

Check out this thread right around when Edelman was laying out LDT.

Check out this thread right around when Edelman was laying out LDT.

There's a little known codicil in the SoSH constitution involving the piece of piping hot manure known as LDT.

But, yeah, I read that part of the thread AFTER I posted my on-site observations.

LDT clearly walking without a noticeable limp and under his own power at 0:11.

Looks like an everyday hit to me. I didn't get to see the second half, but from reading the game thread entries I thought it was going to be a crushing stop,... but it was just an ordinary tackle, wasn't it?

Is the excitement just because JE was filling in, is a little guy, and LDT is despised?

He's on pace for something like 300 yards rushing and 500 yards receiving. Losing him for a game should not be a big deal.

500 yds on short yardage checkdowns is not insignificant production. Cpn' Checkdown being short one of his binkies could be a factor Thursday night.

The Jets have some of the best linebackers and cornerbacks in the league, but they really struggle to cover Gronkowski. How bad of a mismatch was Gronkowski? The Jets actually moved Darrelle Revis off of Wes Welker to cover Gronkowski at times during the second half. The only other tight end in the league that Revis sees reps against is Antonio Gates. Gronkowski was 8-of-11 for 113 yards with two touchdowns, and if not for a stray footstep in the end zone, it would have been three. What he's doing as a red zone threat is unprecedented; teams know the Patriots are going to go to him and still don't seem to have a prayer of stopping him. Gronkowski is now two touchdowns away from becoming just the second tight end in NFL history to score 10 or more touchdowns in back-to-back seasons, a distinction he will also solely share with Gates. And keep in mind that no tight end has ever been able to score more than 10 touchdowns in a season more than three times in his career. Gronkowski's about to do it twice in his first two seasons. This could be the best tight end ever, folks.

Yea, let's wait 3 or 4 years before we start throwing around the "best ever" tag.

He must be pretty good. Look at the Gang Green posts about him from Sunday:

Fucking gronkowski

Fuck Gronkowski

I fucking hate Gronkowski... he's the best fucking TE in football.
PS thank you Sanchez for your moronic TO

Can somebody put a bullet in the ear of that pollack gronkowski

PS btw I'll say it again... Gronk best TE in football, although playing with Brady helps

I want that pollock murdered. i don't want gronkowski breathing another breath

Well, it's true. Only Gronkowski can stop Gronkowski

May somebody shoot Gronkowski in his ass
and than mine

Gronkowski is 7 ft. 250 lbs. with 4.3 speed

Would we dare put Revis on Gronkowski?

Ok. I really hate Gronkowski.

Gronkowski may be my most hated player in the NFL.

It seems that the Pats can score so easily when they are within the 10 yard line, but it is difficult for the Jets. Why don;t the Jets run the same type plays?

They don't have Gronkowski.

we need to stop gronkowski.

in front of smtih again. unbelievable we cant cover the gronk today

Gronk... best TE in football fuck I hate him.

god I hate this pos gronkowski

Enough, and that's only over about half of the game thread, which is split into three because they have a max of about 62 posts per thread. Some faves in bold.

They have a very transparent parody thread about Gronkowski - they give him the Chuck Norris treatment. All it tells me is they fear him.

This is clearly the reasonable approach.

Of course I predicted halfway through his rookie year in a thread here on the 2010 rookie of the year that he's going to the Hall of Fame. (Yes it's outlandish but at least it's gotten less stupid, rather than more stupid, since I said it.).

I think he's the best TE in the league currently, but Tony Gonzalez may take some time to catch up to.

Witten's pretty good. Finley isn't an all arounder but he's not too shabby either.
