The Pats have had some pretty good recent success at Heinz Field. I think it will continue with a 7-10 point win for the good guys.

I'd like to say a hearty fuck you to the NFL for making the Pats game the late game on a rare Sunday in the Bay Area where it would have been on TV. But thanks for Miami @ Giants instead, NFL. I'm sure that'll be great too. Umm, yeah.Sweetness...no need to hit the sportsbar. I just hope my neighbors are profoundly depressed come Monday morning (and they will be - their devotion is downright creepy).

Still should have scored on that drive. Argh.Um, Bill, let's not have any of that first series Welker-like benching of the Gronk, you hear?

Hines Ward did not practice for Steelers, which throws his status up in the air a bit. Casey Hampton not even listed for 2nd straight day.

Dowling didn't participate in practice today after being limited Tuesday and Wednesday. Are we talking a lowell or arod type labrum injury?
We haven't the slightest clue, nor will we any time soon.

According to a league source, it's "highly unlikely" that Steelers WR Hines Ward will play Sunday against New England.

Hines Ward and James Farrior have been downgraded to Out.
Those are 2 huge injuries.

Those are 2 huge injuries.
The Farrior injury is huge because he was their best LB in coverage. Polamalu can only cover one of them, so the other should have a big day.

Young DL for Pitt getting a lot of snaps, expect the Pats to run the ball with some success today.

I'm curious as to what you're basing your conclusion on, basically. Why I'm supposed to infer Farrior is a superior cover LB because Timmons can't cover Gronkowski is unclear to me.
EDIT - smokin, yes, Timmons has played like a quarter of his snaps on the outside since Harrison has been out.

I don't understand the argument. So Gronk - who burns everyone one-on-one - killed Timmons....therefore Farrior is a superior cover LB? How do you think the plodding Farrior, a guy who is in the Tedy Bruschi back 9 of this career, would fare? The guy does not move well anymore; it's one of the first things you notice when you watch their defense. He is still good because he rarely gets out of position and is stout, but he simply doesn't have the motor to chase TEs and RBs around.

My point is that they don't have anybody that can match up with the TE that TP doesn't cover.

Oh, ok. I think someone hacked your account, because the issue has changed, to one that nobody would challenge your position on.
Whatever, go Pats.

1. Bring pressure from inside. "That's what the Giants did to them in the Super Bowl, they created mismatches in the trenches with Justin Tuck," ESPN analyst Merril Hoge says.
Is that fucking game the only football game to ever happen? And, like, did people just realize on that day that pressure, particularly up the middle, disrupts the QB? And who on the Steelers even remotely replicates Tuck's skillset? I mean, what?

Shh, don't let anyone know the "blueprint" for beating the Patriots. All you need to do is consistently generate a lot of pressure with three or four rushers.
