I would imagine it's just the year end wrap up they do every year so they can all get on to making decisions.

Yeah, I assume this is nothing more than a normal year end presser.

Although there is a part of me that just envisions the end of Any Given Sunday, and hopes that just maybe we see that

Anything really ominous I assume Henry would be there too, not just Tito and Theo.

Yeah, thanks for the heads up. The NESN assholes are replaying the game right before the press conference. Tuned in just in time to catch double #1. Made my day.

Only year since Theo became GM they've had to do these end of year conferences before the calendar reaches October in back-to-back years.

I imagine this will be perfunctory and rife with cliches about getting back to work, fixing things, hoping X and Y are healthy, and committing ourselves to being better than ever in 2012. And of course evaluating the whole organization as they do every off-season, etc.

Q1: How do you evaluate the season?
A: Have to look at three phases and take them for what they are.... rough start... at our best... and then September. Have to own all...

Obviously, didn't open with any big statement.

If they're claiming it as some kind of achievement, yes, but just as a factor in assessing the talent mix, it's true and relevant.

Ownership/FO doesn't blame anything on Tito. That would be incredibly short sighted.

Good to hear, IMO.

Q: Timetable on option.

Theo: want to keep focus on 2011. He and Tito have been talking about the season. Will have organizational meetings.

"Nobody blames what happened in September on Tito."

Touched on what he means/has meant to org... and said: "all take responsibility"... "all failed collectively"... "don't believe in scapegoats."

Review "will be issues based. There's plenty to fix."

Agree. I view September as a major systemic failure with a lot of shared responsibility. Glad they're viewing it that way too and not looking for scapegoats. That said, not surprised given what we've observed from Henry, Theo, et.al., over the years.
