Simon's last start. Those sliders could be death on Lavarnway. Simon's generally better vs. RHH.... except he is more home run prone against them.
Who catches Lester?

Drew is 0-4 with 3 K's lifetime.
SSS all around, and Reddick hasn't played since Saturday, but something to think about.

Reddick went 3-3 vs Simon in a game back in July.
Drew is 0-4 with 3 K's lifetime.
SSS all around, and Reddick hasn't played since Saturday, but something to think about.
Drew also misplayed a ball in right that went for a triple off the wall that would've had people calling for Reddick's head had he done the same.

He's also just ridiculous against Baltimore (.350/.385/.750) and even better when you narrow it down to Camden Yards (.433/.500/.900). Again, small samples (23 and 11 games, respectively), but it is something to think about.

I am not kidding when I say that I listened to this at around 4:05 p.m. PST today on my drive home from work. the creepy part is that I thought long about what to put on to pump myself up for the game. entirely too weird a coincidence.
edit: that just sealed it for me. we're winning this fucking thing.

Win it for Professor Farnsworth, whose name would otherwise be sullied by Tampa's fuckhead closer. Take a minute to contemplate the injustice of giving a team whose closer is Kyle Farnsworth a shot at a championshipWin it for Scruffy, a more loyal man than any of us.

This shit CAN'T stand. This team IS better than that. Hell, we have won 2 out of 3. From our recent trend - that is on fire. We are pulling out of this. Forgot past games and be damn thankful that we don't need help from another team. We just need to win. Then do it again.
The critics love to doubt the Boston Red Sox. The jackholes are right outside the door and they are starting to mouth off again. You think they would know better by now... We escaped this noise for a few years by virtue of our success, but it is back again. I chose my avatar from an old Yahoo screen cap. It was on the Yahoo main page in 2007. "Why Boston Will Collapse". Didn't exactly work out that way...
It doesn't take supernatural bull shit for us to make this happen. We are a better team than the O's. We are a better team than the Rays too. Just do our thing. Wait for our pitch. Jonny Lester will hold them down. Pedroia, Ortiz & Adrian will come through. Like Bill McGowan told Ted Williams before his .406 last game.. "you gotta be loose." Easier said than done. Win now.

Considering that the real Patton was likely even more of a psycho hard ass than that its amazing the Germans didn't just up and shoot themselves.
And lets the keep the current thread at the top of the pile now, 'kay?

And for the love of god keep Carl out of the #2 spot.
I'm gonna be mighty angry if the savior of the season gets benched tonight.
