Lavarnway BETTER be starting tomorrow. If the Sox finish this thing, his all around performance in this game will be looked back on as the turning point.

Hopefully TBA will put up an epic performance in Tampa tomorrow night. It's our only prayer.

Lavarnway did it tonight - perhaps the MFY TBAs will come through the same way.

You know, they won and all but what a joke. Baltimore is a joke of a team and the Sox are being pushed to the absolute brink against them

Normally yes, but the last couple nights they haven't played like a joke of a team. How many AB's did they grind out tonight? They never used to do that.

Think though....they will have to use a tired pen again tomorrow...and possibly Thursday.

If we get through tomorrow we get the privilege of starting Lackey in a one game playoff...on short rest no less.

And if we somehow get through all that....we get to watch Tim Wakefield start off the postseason.

I'm in....but this won't be pleasant.

Hey kids, it's Christmas Eve! You know what you get tomorrow? Probably a bunch of shit you didn't ask for and won't like, so go to bed. Yeah, that's right, I've been eating the Santa cookies all these years. He doesn't exist.

Lavarnway catching tomorrow, no Crawford batting 2nd bullshit either.

I'd love to see something like this.

Ellsbury
Scutaro
Gonzalez
Pedroia
Ortiz
Lavarnway
Drew
Crawford
Aviles

The O's have won series vs. The Tigers, Angels, Rays, & Sox in the past few weeks. If we're going to criticize the Sox for their play in the last month, you HAVE to give Baltimore credit for their past month (regardless of their overall position in the standings).

The thing is, whichever of their kids they put on the mound is sure to treat it as a playoff assignment, and that's a good thing for us.

A child led us tonight, maybe one of their children will lead them tomorrow night.

Whatever, LIFE-GIVING WATER!

Dude... you suck.

Like, you don;'t suck a little. And it's not even that what you are saying is incorrect.

You suck on levels more fundamental than what you have considered. It's hard for me to even fathom how to explain it to you... and usually, I wouldn't bother... except that, well, you're nutting up against the point that, well...

Look--you may be a bad person. I mean, there's a time to just shut the fuck up, yeah? Bad energy sucks. We all get it at times, but we laud those that help us to keep going. You don't think it's real? Fine. Shut the fuck up and get out of the way of those who want to push on. And if you think this is unfair, stop and think about movies... and which guy in the movie you're playing.

We have a future to attend to.

Turning points are best looked at in hindsight, which is what I was implying. Roberts' steal was a turning point, but nobody knew it at the time.

I honestly don't know if I can watch tomorrow. I might go out to a 7 o'clock movie, and then just see what happened when I get home. I just have no confidence in any other outcome than the Sox losing, and losing badly, or another nailbiter on the verge of a serious dick punch to end all dick punches. And I'm not sure I could survive either.

EDIT: If the game gets called and the Rays win, would they have to play the Orioles in the morning on Thursday and then, if they win, fly down to Tampa to play the Rays at night?

Well - if the outcome is a Rays loss, it could relax them enough to stop pressing.
A month ago I was bored waiting for the playoffs - now I cannot do anything all day but stress until game time.
Course - I work from home so that means a full day of Weei sports talk to keep me distracted.
