Crawford doesn't deserve a spot in the lineup, let alone 2nd. I'm still pissed about his failed bunt in the 10th last night. I don't want him up again in a key spot. Fuck him.

Maddening. I would love to hear an intelligent reason to bat him second in a must win game. I'll check the board to see if Francona explained this decision...

And the dropped ball in LF in the Lester game too. Yet he's still in there every day. What does he have to do to get benched? Run into Ellsbury and break his ribs?

Snakes in the grass breaking Taco's ribs is proof that even when Theo's free agent signings work out, they don't work out.

Just win.

In the words of the (literally) immortal Al Davis: Just win, baby
I won't add a picture because I feel like that would jinx the hot girls trend

Lyndsey Dyer has no fear.

She can do this.

And, well, she fits the theme:

A little less drama - a little better baseball - and Josh Freakin' Beckett: a winning formula. Kick the collectively asses of Buck and his whiners so bad, they can't sit down until next season, then make them sit. Play smart, play well and make them shut the hell up. You make your own destination tonight, boys - get it done.

GO SOX - DO IT AGAIN!

Varitek scratched. Saltalamacchia in the lineup.

Hopefully they made Beckett well aware of this possibility so he doesn't have a panic attack like he did that night in Toronto.

Beckett needs to get used to someone other than Varitek - might need to pitch to Salty in the post season... Varitek can still call the game from the dugout anyway.

If this game ends like that one did, I'll live with it.

Really?!!? Just throw Lavarnway or Expo into a must-win Game 160?

No thanks.

And with a pitcher on the mound who has made clear he doesn't like throwing to anyone but Varitek, no less.

Beckett certainly needs to get over that, but tonight isn't the time for that. Salty has at least caught him before and has spent the season observing him. Throw a rookie at him, and he's very likely to turn in another 7R performance like he did the first time Victor caught him.

Oh, um, don't hang breaking pitches to big lummox third basemen on the other team who are great at hitting hanging breaking pitches but not much else.
