23 runs by running backs versus 45 passes.
What does this mean? They should've run it more?
Ha.
Anyways, fucking awful loss. Up 21-0, lose 34-31, my God.

Unacceptable loss. Shaky refs or not, Pats should win that game.
Ocho better be ready for a tough week on the radio talk shows....

Chad's drop ended up costing them 3 or 4 minutes on the clock, right?
That was a huge play.
They scored. It's on the defense to get a stop with 3 minutes left in a game.

I wonder if we'll ever get an explanation as to what happened with the TO and the goal line penalty (the flag came out of the back of the endzone, so I have no idea).
Sure.
@MikePereira Mike Pereira
Belichick asked for timeout was not charged a timeout. #pats

Here's the really simple - yet obfuscated by Gannon - explanation: the clock re-starts on the whistle after that review. They had to call the TO to stop it. Why or how Gannon doesn't know this is beyond me.

Fuck sports. All of them.
Yeah. Media blackout tomorrow.
Although 5-18, for a .217 winning percentage in September is worse than a loss to a decent Buffalo team. A lot of us thought the Bills would give us a game today anyway. What's worse, Pat's D or Sox starting pitchers?

Well, just tied.

* The wasted TO - so Brady could vigorously slap Connelly's ass, then take a penalty.
* The decision to tackle Jackson inside the 20.. 15... 10... 5 - under 2 mins and the Pats unable to stop the clock.

The run game looked pretty good for a while there. Less passes might have meant less interceptions.
Anyway, 31 points against the Bills should be enough. This defense is not good, again.

Why the fuck wouldnt you run it more when you have a big lead? Why wouldnt you mix it up some to different receivers in the passing game? Instead, they keep forcing it to Welker and Gronk. Just once again trying to blow people away with talent instead of doing things the old Patriot way. 325 of Brady 386 passing yards went to two players. Stick that in your fucking pipe and smoke it.

No mental toughness on this team for like the 5th straight year. The Bills punched them in the mouth and took this game from them by force and they just let it happen.
The Mental toughness seems to have been absent since the AFC Divisional win against San Diego in 2006.

Here is what I guess Bill was PO'd about, when Jackson goes into the End Zone there is 1:53 on the clock (verified) but the clock keeps running while the Refs figure out what is going on and don't stop the clock until 1:43 is left thus costing NE 10 incredibly valuable seconds.

Have fun while it lasts buffalo. We'll celebrate in January.
The Bills earned it today. And you know what, five minutes later I don't feel so bad. It's almost nice to have the Bills be relevant again. Can I say that without a GTFO? Now we will savor beating them at home.
Also can we alter that to January AND February?

So why was Belichick so upset? You could clearly read his lips saying "Why would I take a TO there?"It seems like absolutely fucking no one could figure this out since all our beat writers on twitter are all LOL WUT about it

Nice narrative. But it's an annoying one because it glosses over the actual football problems they demonstrated today, like:
- bad man coverage - getting beat, or not playing the ball well enough
- bad decisions/throws - two of Brady's INTs were atrocious
- wide open TD dropped - Ocho ultimately cost the Pats 5 minutes of game time by dropping that TD
- totally losing control of Fred Jackson in the second half
- getting almost nothing out of the edge rushers
- settling for a FG in the third quarter, inside the 10 yard line

Chad's drop ultimately cost the team a possession. Even though they scored on the drive, it hurt their chances of winning.

I disagree with that. Despite the shit show in the playoffs, they won a bunch of close games against good teams last year.
My concern is that the defense seems to have taken a step back, and without Hernandez the offense looks a lot like it did in 2009.

I didn't see that, but he was probably angry at the fact they inexplicably ran 10 seconds off the clock without affording them the chance to call a TO.

Ocho should be released to sign a tackling dummy on Monday. The secondary could use it.

Kraft needs to bring in someone else to handle personnel decisions. BB has proven that he can't put a remotely competent defense on the field for 4 seasons in a row now.
Ocho should be released to sign a tackling dummy on Monday. The secondary could use it.
At least someone is able to see through this loss and be rational about it...
