Maybe a few more flag patches would help them play better baseball.

The disaster continues. This team sucks.

Maybe it was the thread title. "We Begin Anew."
The Sox are playing just as they did at the beginning of the season.
Maybe we don't need to begin again... just win again.

I hadn't heard about this turn of events, even in the tabloids. I imagine it would be horrible to watch, though.

This is shaping up to be an epic month.

I would settle for epic at this point. Epic would mean we snap out of this shit at some point and win some games. Right now it's shaping up to be a Black Death kind of month.

So 4 innings of bullpen, at least. Given that Dan Bard is pitching so well that shouldn't be a big deal, right?

So the offense has gone through the motions for nearly 2 weeks and suddenly Lester is supposed to show up big and be the ace? This team from the top down is not pushing real hard to win right now.

Painful to watch Lester today. He doesn't have it. Another 40 pitch inning. Here we of with with another starting pitcher meltdown and playing from behind early.

Lester approaching another 40 pitch inning. Against the MFY's didn't he throw 60 pitches in the first two innings?

More like 50 pitches. Can't get a swing and a miss.

I was thinking about this yesterday. Maybe the park and players had more to do with his success.

Lester is going to have another personal high for pitches in an inning.

It could be worse... Casey Kotchman and Francisco Cervelli could be on the same team batting 3-4 in the lineup.

I have no idea how Red Sox pitching would handle it.

If only there was somebody in the organization responsible for motivating the team to play like they care. Or at least up to their abilities.

Why do you two guys think this is Young's fault? And for some of the others, you don't think the players are motivated to win? That is asinine. Performance and desire have nothing to do with it. Not for talented players.

I heard baseball now allows pitchers to warm up before the game starts.
