Rays starting rotation is pretty dang impressive.

Indeed it is, while the Boston's consists of Jon Lester and pray for typhoon. These sumbitches are gonna be tough to hold off.

Not the best way to start for a young pitcher.

Dammit, that location is what, like 1 inch off.....so close to nice pitching - I guess thats why they call it AAA.

Velocity's up, location's off; Weiland seems amped up.

Longoria should have been rung up for interference on that bullshit takeout slide 9 feet from the bag.

Absolutely. He couldn't have reached the bag unless he took his bat out with him.

Well, at least Damon's forcing him to throw strikes. Maybe he'll get the hang of it.

Weiland has great movement and better-than-average velocity, but pity about the control. It may take him a little while longer to learn command, but his ceiling is very high.

Because your glass is half-empty. Some people would say that you should look at it as half-full, but I say down the remaining half and get a refill.

Yea no shit. Of course I'm getting TB's broadcast and they just spent 10 minutes ballwashing Longo for his hustle. Yea sure Evan, do that shit to Pedroia next time and prepare for Pedey to punch you right in the cock. And take your cap.

Weiland was wild, but he kept the pitches down in the zone for the most part. And he got squeezed on a few too.

Something about his low on the zone 94 mph stuff looks like Masterson's - his heavy changeup looks like Jedi's sinker and ditto the control issues....

When Weiland is in the Hall of Fame we'll all look back and say, "Remember that one inning against the Rays when a young Kyle worked out of trouble and only let up one run?" "Sure I do, that was right when they went on that epic September run - culminating with the Sox winning the World Series back in 2011". Well probably not.
