Alright blue, we can stop pretending that this wasn't a cynical ploy for an official game already.

Pouring rain and it looks lke the umpires are not stopping it. I reeaally wanna hear Showalter's comments.

Plus it looks like this clusterfuck was MLB's fault (no surprise) according to Michael Kay.

Edit: if the Sox were involved I would be livid.

They're having the grounds crew work on the field, while it pours.

Delayed, it's pouring and they are putting sand all over and icing Hunter simultaneously.

The strange thing is that the Doppler has no rain over NYC now, and a window of at least an hour or two until more.

I don't give one damn about the outcome anymore, but I am wondering what Granderson, Teixeira, Cano, Swisher and Gardner are still doing on the field?

21 inning game please.

BTW The Yankees are giving away a free ticketbto a future game to all ticketholders of tonight's game. Much as I dislike the Yankees I've got to admit this is a good thing.

Hunter was giving the ump the business, as he should have. That was a horrific ball 4 call on Granderson.

I'd like to ask the same of Hardy, who swings at a curve low then watches a 2-1 heater right down the pipe.

Fans overreact to the weather and field conditions. Honestly, when is the last time a player actually got hurt in a game like this? Rivera isn't going to slip off the mound and crack his head open.

I think the other view is that there is little-to-no incentive to winning this game anyway, so why risk it?
