In true September fashion, I have called myself up and become a supporter. This is the kind of new kid energy this team needs (that plus three or four starting pitchers). Win today because yesterday, this guy won:

The Toronto Blue Jays aren't a very good ball club. Sure, they're not the Astros, but they're still not that great. They're like Craig Grebeck, hitting .400 in May and having that tidbit appear on the back of a baseball card. Did you know Grebeck hit .400 or above for exactly 4 days in 2000 with the Jays? 5 days, if you factor in his .600 avg on the first day of the season.

Grebeck was even worse with the Red Sox before being sidelined with a foot injury that put him in a boot. The Red Sox must avenge the disgraceful .049 2001 season by Grebeck.

Yes, this is Brett Lawrie's arm. And yes, a man who tattooed Eminem lyrics on his shoulder walked off against us yesterday. Please don't let this happen again...win.

I guess Reddick's still worse against LHPs than McD? I miss him already, and hope he comes into the game in the 2nd or 3rd, or whenever the Sox run Perez out of the game. The Sox must win tonight, if only for my blood pressure. Pls, Geaux Sox, and win, dammit!

I'm over this shit of losing and not hitting and stupid injuries and poor starting pitching and questionable managing decisions and swinging and missing at ball four. C'mon, wake the fuck up and kick ass again. I want to win. I still want to win the division, I don't care about about taking it easy. Do NOT pull up and give in to the MFY's. Have I made myself clear?

[Livestrong pic]

That actually gave me chills.

Anyway, if he doesn't end it with another no-no, I hope Lester's night ends with fastball to Lawrie's skull for the tongue sticking out thing while he ran the bases.

Not gonna believe this but actually saw the original "Livestrong" Lance Armstrong this morning. He's here on Maui for a large corporate event for Oracle. They had a large bike event this morning and he's the motivational guy.

So in light of that coincidence Lester will be victorious tonight. There can be no other way to explain this.

OK, that has to be one the most incredible ads I have seen in my life.

Now 2 things:
1. Win.
2. Make Lawrie look like a fool.

This team has gotten more production from the 7th and 9th spots in the batting order than the 6th. It's pretty amazing that Ortiz has put up the kind of numbers that he has this season with guys like Cameron, McDonald and Reddick hitting right behind him for most of the season. And now Scutaro gets a turn.

Wakefield, Miller, Weiland, Lackey, and Beckett misses his next start.

It would be good to win tonight.

When I think of all of the least likable ways to react to hitting a walk-off, this picture really captures it.

Not a walk off but Cervelli with the hand clap in Salty's grill resonates with me as well.

Marco hitting 6th? WTF

Marco's been hitting pretty well lately, and is certainly better than RH Salty.

Says a lot about Crawford doesn't it?

After last night, he's back to Absolute Zero.

Toronto pays for not putting on the full shift. The short right fielder woulda had that.
