The Pats traditionally deal with the elements about 780152 times better than their opponents, so I'm not concerned about the weather.

Seems there is a disconnect between what fans and Vegas expect for tonight, and what a lot of media expect. Even Reiss expects it to be close, wouldn't be surprised with a loss, and says if it's close in the 4th advantage Miami.

There is a price to bet on the Pats due to their popularity and Vegas builds that in. Their not picking winners. Unless you have heard that there is a lot of smart money taking the Pats.

Goddamn, it seemed like Tarpinian was kept around at the expense of one of the rookie tight ends or Maneri... and now we're letting him go to sign Welch off the PS. Bad roster management.

Agreed. I'm also somewhat sure he was on the kick/punt coverage teams (please correct me if I'm wrong), and given the day of returns yesterday, hope it doesn't hurt them today. But yeah, I'd rather have Maneri than Welch.

Here's hoping my strategy of stacking my fantasy team with Pats players pays off big.

Win.

I'm just excited to see some Patriots football again.

Wearing my Patriots gear today -- check. Left work at 3pm (PDT) -- check. Recliner in front of HD tv -- check.

I am soooo ready for this Patriots season to start.

Wearing a Gap polo I bought in 2004, which was the last time they won the SB. Closest thing I got.

Thanks - I'm Internet-ing it tonight! Any additional stream info welcome as well...

Between the Sox, the Russian hockey team, and the Jets comeback, the sports pages have been unreadable lately (and that was before the Globe changed formats!). WIN this thing, and make it safe for Boston fans to open a browser...

I am all for improved defense. I am sick of seeing mediocre QBs put up big numbers and being terrified by Roethlisberger and Manning when the game should be in hand. Get a lead and crank the fucking passer!

Someone tell me what they are watching and the time.

In all seriousness, i was fucking in downtown NYC on 9/11. I was in that rolling smoke cloud and all that shit.

Without an ounce of hyperbole: the past 4 days of hamfisted and vacuous 9/11 "memorials" have been much more painful than the actual event.
