Doubront du jour: mostly fastballs, but 3 changeups, a cutter and 3 curves thrown in. He looked good -- and he's pitching low in the zone, which is a change from Doubront 2010.

I just got in (was watching Strasburg carry a no-hitter through 5). Did Burnett actually pitch well or have been inept offensively?

I think calling Crawford Lugoesque is harsh. Renteriaesque is more like it.
Lugo was nowhere near the player Crawford was when coming to Boston, his contract was worth about a quarter of Crawford's. His 2007 OBA was better than Crawford's is now. Lugo had had two above average offensive seasons and he was crucified for his hitting. Crawford is far more disappointing than Lugo. I mean a SS that doesn't hit, okay, but a fucking LF?
What killed Lugo was EV saying he was good.
Crawford is even worse than fucking Lackey. He has killed this team.
