Right down the line, somehow Gardner manages to overrun it and let it go into the corner.
That won't help his UZR.
Oh no, is it Logan time? I still don't trust him.
Yo! You're not logged in. Why am I seeing this ad?

Yeah I doubt we'll be seeing Fat Albers tonight. Be more enjoyable if they can do it against Bard and Pap anyway.9 more outs to go. Might be wise for the Yanks to get even in the 7th as Bard and Pap are rested and ready.

He has been a pop up machine so far in this series that's for sure. He's saving it up for the game winner. It sure would be nice for Teixeira to start acting like a middle of the order hitter, rather than some piece of garbage that hits pop up after pop up.

It was announced today that Banuelos and Betances are not coming up.I hope they try Banuelos out as the lefty in the bullpen when the rosters expand.

Oh my god, you could not make this up. Boston fans, get ready to laugh your asses off...
So, AJ Burnett starts tonight against Boston, a recipe for a quick shelling if there ever was one. NY has been playing a man short in the bullpen because they're carrying six starters, but with Scranton out of the playoff race and today being September 1, reinforcements should be here today. Right? Right?
So who is the sole pitcher NY is promoting tomorrow? Laffey? Kontos? Phelps? Warren? Banuelos? Betances?
No, the answer would be SCOTT PROCTOR.
I have no words.

AJ's going to pitch well tonight. And if he doesn't, he's going to pitch 5 or 6 innings anyway. The outcome tonight isn't terribly important. Yanks will not waste the bullpen early just to get him out of there.Noesi is ineligible to come back, he just went down a few days ago. More inexplicable is that they let Pendleton pitch yesterday too, very strange thinking here by NY.

I think you're nuts. Care to put your money where your mouth is for the Jimmy Fund?AJ's going to pitch well tonight. And if he doesn't, he's going to pitch 5 or 6 innings anyway. The outcome tonight isn't terribly important. Yanks will not waste the bullpen early just to get him out of there.
AJ tinkered with pitching inside in the final few innings of his last disaster, and said he's going to do more of it. I could see him backing a few Boston leftys off the plate tonight, beginning with Ellsbury in the bottom of the first. His location is so shitty anyway, he'll probably hit one or two guys tonight. The critics can suggest intent. I suggest he just has no clue where the ball is going once it leaves his hand.
Predicted line tonight, from me: AJ: 6 3 2 1 5 9 - 115 pitches.
I only say this because most of the time we are dead certain something is going to happen in sports, the opposite occurs. George Costanza first presented this theory while working for the Yankees in 1995.

Well, not really. How's this? ... Just often enough to remind us nothing is certain in sports.'I only say this because most of the time we are dead certain something is going to happen in sports, the opposite occurs.'
It does?

Well, I need odds. AJ going 6 innings. Probably a 6-1 shot. So here's the deal. If AJ goes six innings, you owe me a six-pack. If he doesn't, I owe you a beer. One beer.Does that mean you're not taking the bet?

Did you check the link in my previous post. There's a thread going in P&G where posters can challenge someone's assertions (ridiculous or otherwise) with all proceeds going to the Jimmy Fund. I proposed $50 that AJ either doesn't last 6 or gives up more than 2 run. Beer is good too, but I don't live anywhere near you, so that would probably go unfulfilled.Well, I need odds. Too bad. I ain't betting 50 bucks on AJ. Last time I bet that much, Dirk Minniefield hit a desperation three at the buzzer to allow the Celtics to cover against the Pistons. Needless to say, I had the Pistons. Ever since, I bet in beers. As you said, too bad you live far away. I'm thinking of hosting a RI SOSH party in Pawtucket during the ALCS, assuming the Yankees get there. It would be fun to get some people together for beers and baseball.Did you check the link in my previous post. Well, you'd really just be making a donation to a great cause. But whatever, you clearly don't have much confidence in your "prediction."Too bad. I ain't betting 50 bucks on AJ.
