The 3rd pre-season, also a crucial game for many who are on the bubble before the 80-men cutdown.

I'll be especially looking for:

  • Butler vs Whilite: one of the two won't make the team
  • Yeatman vs Smith: would a promising 5th rounder be cut over a better performing UDFA?
  • Ihedigbo vs White: two ST standouts battling for a spot
  • Anderson vs Moore: can we keep BOTH of these guys?

Plus, the debut of Wilfork + Hayenesworth monster DL?

Reiss says Ellis/Haynesworth will NOT play, but he does not cite any support.

Haynesworth and Ellis not expected to play. One of the big pre-game questions was whether this would be the first time we see defensive linemen Albert Haynesworth andShaun Ellis in a Patriots uniform. They are not expected to play.

Rapoport and Bedard have been saying that for a day or two now citing Patriots sources.

I'm hoping the O-line is able to contain Suh. Last thing I want is him throwing Brady around like he's Andy Dalton or Jake Delhomme.

I wonder if the Pats are going to have their minds on the game, and not be thinking about Irene. After all, who wants to spend two days in Detroit?

Anyone have any good links for a stream? Firstrow.net has been shut down by the feds.

Will this game be on TV or is it going to be pre-empted by Irene coverage? I'll be pissed if I can't see the game.

Anyone know if WCBS in NYC is carrying the game tonight, or just more repetitive hurricane updates?
Their website was worthless.

Thanks -- streaming some informercial now, but hopefully it'll carry the game once it starts.

Thanks. I'm trying to get it to work on my iPhone (stuck in the car for a 2 hour drive) but no luck yet.

I just got WCBS on the phone -- they're preempting the game for 5 more hours of "it's going to rain". Won't even put the game on their digital channel. I'm pissed.

I work in TV and have never stolen a live stream of a game before for both business and ethical reasons. Tonights toning to test that.

In DC, Channel 9 will continue with their Irene coverage, but the game will be on one of their OTA digital subchannels (9-2).

Great timing for the Detroit's passing game on that drive.

So, that's what, a twenty yard swing? Nice way to kill the drive, ref.

Probably closer to thirty.

I don't quite get the celebrating either. I get the hunch the Lions could become a really hated team with some of their guys if they're good.

Looked like a throw.
