SOSH

OK we're back on our main server.  It was taking a super long time to move *everything* back just to save a day's worth of messages.  I've been at this all day now and need to get back to my real job so.,... sorry.  Working on a better plan in case this happens again.  nip

Starts tomorrow, hopefully I'll score some tix to see the Bolt man run, at least in the qualifiers Saturday morning

100 meters qualifiers are Saturday, final is Sunday

200 meters are Sept 2-3. Relays are Sept 4

Because of the 13-hour time difference, NBC is showing this on tape delay.

I've been recording each session on Universal Sports and NBC. There is some duplicate coverage, but I'm really enjoying the Championships so far. Maybe someone can help me with this. Why is Nick Symmonds seen as any kind of threat in the 800m? He runs as if he's facing freshmen from Washington State who run 1:50 still. He only wants to run from the back. He's got a good kick, but you're not coming from 20m back on these guys.

Events I'm looking forward to: 800m (Rudisha), 1500m (Lagat, et al), 5000m (love the tactics), 200/400m double for Felix, Pole Vault (tiny guy from France), 400m (Can Merritt run like in the first round? Who else steps up), marathon. There are so many great events and it is just getting me excited for London.
