I bought the Samsung specific back. I worried too much shoot the cheap Chinese induction kits and reading about to many over heating problems. It does make the phone slightly thicker though, so a right fitting case may no longer fit.

Here's an odd issue I have been dealing with. I don't use the Facebook app instead I use the mobile version. Lately whenever I type in Facebook the keyboard randomly back spaces every few letters making typing very frustrating. When it back spaces it doesn't erase the previous letter but instead inserts it before the last letter jumbling up every word. Any idea why this might be happening. It only happens when I type in Facebook mobile?

I have a note 3 for what it's worth.

What keyboard do you use? I've been having this issue in a few places

I use the stock android keyboard. I have only ever experienced it with Facebook mobile. I guess I could do the Facebook app but don't use it often enough to make me want the app...plus that whole messenger crap

So, my iPhone 4s is on its last leg. Thinking I want to give Android a shot. I have a MacBook Pro I do all my stuff on and I'm kinda fearful of making the jump. I'm narrowing it down to the Galaxy Note 4 or the Nexus 6 and I'll be heading to a Verizon store tomorrow since my contract is up with AT&T as well. Anyone have either of these phones that can weigh in a bit?

For Cyber Monday, you can get $140 off of an unlocked Moto X. That basically brings it down to the same price as a 32G Nexus 5. Considering that the X is about as pure Google as you can get besides a Nexus, that is a great deal.

About a week in with the Nexus 6 and I love the phone. No complaints.

I'm really digging the extra screen real estate and the size hasn't been prohibitive at all.

I finally got it yesterday, set it up late last night.  If it makes any sense, it LOOKS bigger than it feels.  Surprisingly still fits in my car dock if I expand it to the widest setting.  Fits in front pocket, where I always keep my phones (and I have a case on it as well).

Haven't played with it too much yet, but the screen is ridiculously sharp.

I'll be interested to hear what you have to say about the battery.

I have not yet had one issue with the battery and my true test was yesterday back in the office where I get zero cell service which usually drains my battery. I left work yesterday with 70% battery, used it all evening before bed and was still around 40%.

I have not yet seen a low battery warning in the week that I've had it. And that is with 4 days off over the weekend and a lot of sitting around playing on my phone.

Weekends are the only times I run into trouble since I charge it all night while I sleep and all day on a Qi pad while at work.  But I'm interested to see as well.

One thing I did do last night that will be huge for me is connect using the Microsoft Remote Desktop app.  Beautiful.

One Lollipop feature that annoys me...while I love the improvement in the look of the 'Recently used' cards, I wish I could limit how many it shows.  Especially since it keeps them upon reboot...I hate having to swipe away old programs/tabs every couple of days.

How are you feeling about the lack of badges on your email and messaging apps?

I personally love the way 5.0 handles messages.

it is a ProClips, and I've had it for years; first got it for the Galaxy Nexus.  It obviously adjusts based on size, and it is just big enough to hold the N6 with the case (which doesn't add too much width to it)

I always mount an angled mount to the right of the stereo on the dash; on ProClips site look up dashboard angled mount.

The updates to the core Google apps are stunning. All of the apps are easier to use, work together, and pretty to look at. For me, it's the most under hyped tech development of the year.

Interested to hear any thoughts on this promotion by Sprint. It begins Friday.

http://www.usatoday....rizon/19777945/

Under the plan, Sprint will provide unlimited talk and text to anywhere in the U.S. network, while matching the data allowance for half the price that AT&T and Verizon customers are currently paying.

As an added incentive, activation fees are waived, and Sprint will pay any early termination fees or installment billing obligations for switchers, up to $350 per line. Those people will be paid with repaid Visa cards. The half-price deal goes for the life of the plan, but the promotion itself is temporary, with Sprint not specifying how long it will last.

Sprint says the half-off rate will be based on the monthly voice, text and data rate plan charge for all lines on the customer's Verizon or AT&T bill. So, a Verizon customer paying $140 per month for four lines of service to share can get four lines of service from Sprint for $70 per month. You will have to swap out your old phone for a new device.

Sounds desperate, but tempting.

Can I assume the unlimited data gets throttled at some point?

You get what you pay for. Garbage coverage and speed is still garbage coverage and speed at any price.

Sprint cuts your bill in half and your service by 90%. They are beyond shitty. I had no idea how shitty Sprint was until I switched to ATT.

How long ago did you switch? I'm on the Sprint network through an MVNO, and while there are some hiccups here and there, I've noticed a marked improvement in their coverage in the past year or so.

Sprint sent out a new promotion to long-term customers - offering a $5 per month lease for either an iPhone 5 or S5.

I'm likely jumping to ATT and getting a Nexus 6 or some other phablet early next year.

Sprint service has always been good in the Atlanta area - when I've traveled to other places, it's somethimes abysmal.

They eliminated the company discount a while back. That still pisses me off. I thought their unlimited data was a good deal, but I never realized I don't use much data, so it's not that important - I can save by switching - I can get a 20% corp discount on a plan from ATT.

I'm on a Nexus 5. Compared to Kitkat, I find Chrome crashes much more, the phone now occasionally locks out data or GPS until I reboot, and Lollipop is not noticably faster or better with battery.

Plus the new design wastes space like crazy. I want to see more emails on a single screen, not fewer because half the page is blank vertical space.

The maps app is better but also slower.
The camera is better.

Also, get off my lawn.
