I'd put Nate Solder among the impressive players on the field today. He was pretty much a wall out there.

Yes. You can't claim a guy you ran off campus.

It's not my fault Rich Rod molested him. And I say this as a Rich Rod apologist.

Anyways, I don't care. He counts in my heart.

If Mallet and Hoyer continue to impress, we might as well go with the double (triple?) QB offense.

My barber told me he was full of himself and had some off-field issues. I know he was loyal to Lloyd, but Lloyd told him to transfer. It was probably best for him with Rich Rod's mess. Sigh.

It really didn't dawn on me until tonight just how awesome it is to be having Mankins, Vollmer and Solder on the line for the foreseeable future. Three beasts.

There's something about him that screams Calipari. I think it's the hair.

Medlin's going to get 100 yards in garbage time.

Solder impressed you guys? I thought he looked really weak out there. He never really got beat by the speed rush, but their DE's seemed to bullrush him deep into the back field.

I cannot wait to see what Cannon can do. Vollmer-Cannon-Whoever-Mankins-Solder. Mankins or the Center would be the smallest one. Draft the best center next year, develop him for a season or two and throw them out there. That could be an awesome line.

If you aren't noticing Solder, he's doing a good job. Solder was Sol-id.

I'm kind of in between. Granted, I wasn't focusing on him throughout the game or anything, but I thought Solder looked a little sloppy in his technique. The encouraging part was that his athleticism allowed him to compensate for his technical mistakes. If they can coach him up and add strength to his frame without comprising his athleticism, we're looking at an absolute monster at LT.

Well, he's still young. Just wait until he learns power at the NFL level.

So Cox got wrecked, and Price looked a little slow getting up after catching that last punt, with a limp... Any other obvious injuries?

For those of us who couldn't see the game, are there any extended highlights available online?

Not much too add but I had a blast. Got to sit in the club seats. I really should have studied harder so I could afford seats like that all the time.

FWIW - there was a Jags' fan behind me at the game complaining all night about #77 holding. I took that to mean he was doing a decent job.

On another note - I get that every inch of free space in the stadium must be covered in advertising, including about 40% of the scoreboard... but were the in-replay almost subliminal ads really necessary? For @#$#'s sake... I wondered why I was really hungry for meatballs about halfway through the 2nd quarter - oh... then I noticed that's because in between every other shot of a replay there is a 2 second flash of some damn frozen meatball company ad - and then it moved on to other things. Really stupid.
