marco reus esq, whose international career is stunted only by an almost perverse embaressement of riches my german national team has, offensive midfieldwise.

after today´s fuck up, it´s 5 points to the bayern, 5 points to the "herbstmeisterschaft". but the bayern will have to go through the stahlgewitter of the so-called champions-league. which will wear them down.


i´m 43, and i´m a shaky 43, perfectly reconciled with my own mortality.
and this year, and this year only, we have that abundance of footballerian riches, arango, ter stegen, reus, dante, stranzl. and g*d, lucien favre.

it was our best season since whenever. but and on monday lucien favre gave notice. fuck him, he still has another year on his contract left.
it´s not even in the "bild" or in the "express" because nobody does know shit. they know nothing,.

he say´s he won´t be able to motivate the team next season, or himself. he will be be bereft of reus, the SINGLE player our success rested on, dante neustädter, and our borussia, who´s keeping her books like an early netherlandian calvinist accountant, already have declared we won´t break the bank.
i feel favres pain.

for my borussia next season it will be crucial to walk a fine balance between realism and the future.

using the money we will earn by selling the best of our best, flesh of(f) our flesh, reus and dante, and a host of other transfer fees: to replace them, trying to buy 1 or 2 accomplished football players who will have an impact as soon as they hit the borussia-park: or will we bet on half a dozend of footballers, undistiguished, so far, and their respective futures?


i´m not used to that shit. i´m almost ashamed. almost exactly one year ago my borussia had to work a wonder in overtime to even qualify for the relegation-game with bochum. we did, and we won. somehow. and now we´re 4th. one year ago i had to dread opponents like regensburg or the fsv frankfurt.

now it´s, maybe, the toon or spurs. i´m really looking forward to the cl-qualification.

it might be the first time i really can relate to the "epl" since we beat arsenal at highbury 3-2 back in ´92. the operative word here of course is "´92"- we´ve been in the shitter since then, more or less, most of the time.

personally i will root for the toon to be our mortal enemy, championsleaguequalificationwise.
