I missed it, is Beckett's injury legit and a reason for me to hate this game even more?

never mind, accidental double post

It's so jarring to hear Buck & McCarver saying anything critical of Jeter.

My friends and I are struggling to come up with a starting All-Star worse than Scott Rolen and his .278 OBP. Even Mark Loretta was better than him. Even SHEA HILLENBRAND was better than him.

I wonder if this was the first serious warm-up he's done since he left the mount with hyper-extension of the knee. I thought it was great news that he was going, b/c I assumed it meant the knee was completely fine.

For what it's worth, he threw a side session on Sunday and was cleared to pitch today.

These little "getting to know you" vignettes are pretty lame.

Thank you. I was so desperately wondering what Curtis Granderson's favorite wrestling event was. Pffew. Curiosity sated. Good job, Fox.

bradfo Rob Bradford Beckett just said that not pitching was precautionary. If was a real game would have pitched through it. Knee stiffened up end of warm-ups

Is Bochy going to use a single pitcher that isn't on the Phillies or Giants?

No one outside NY cares about Jeters 3k.

Exactly.

Its a self-important view by McCarver as always. I don't expect a standing ovation on the rare occasion I get a blow job, although that would be nice.

I love Joe Buck's saying Lee "never misses over the plate". Really, how'd the Blue Jays get three homers?

How'd Gonzaleze hit that?!?!?!!!!!1

As McCarver was saying there's a 70% chance he hits it to left.

The last 2 All-Star HRs are by Red Sox. JD Drew in 08 at YS and tonight by Gonzo. First ASG HR in 206 ABs.

I remember him as the tard that would fall off to either side of the mound. I wonder if he still does that.
