Any lineup that can feature Papi and Cano 7th and 8th is quite impressive.

Jason Aldean is one of the most popular country music artists. You people don't know good music apparently.

I assume Arcade Fire weren't available?

And then I unmute my TV only to hear Chris Berman yell out, "ARE YOU GUYS READY FOR SOME LONGBALL!!!"

This is going to be fantastic.

Um, Seal Team Six? The American people need you to eliminate one more target...the rather large man in the hideous yellow, red, brown, black, purple, white, orange and grey striped tie near home plate.

I lost count at eight colors in Berman's tie. At least one player tonight won't hit as many HRs.

Prisoners on Guantanamo should have been forced to listen to Berman's home run calls and I think bin Laden would have been found way beforehand.

I do the same thing, though in fairness, it's a random Monday in July and there isn't anything else to do.

Edit: Nomar is an interesting choice for the broadcast.

I love hearing Prince Fielder explaining to his kid why the audience is booing him.

And who's idea was it to ask the captains questions like it was a prize fight or something? This is already off to an inauspicious start.

I watch it on the off chance that something entertaining like Hamilton hitting 28 in the first round and then losing will happen.

If baseball were marijuana, the HR Derby would be the shitty, cheap, Mexican brick weed you would buy dimebags of in high school. It smells bad, it tastes bad, the high kinda sucks.... but it's still weed. Kind of. I mean... there's bats. And a ball. And a guy throwing the ball. And a guy swinging the bat at the ball. Baseball, right?

Fire it up.

I wasn't feeling this analogy at all when you started. But it came around nicely. Also, I think this night would be a whole lot more enjoyable if I could toke up before they get started.
