So, if I put someone in a circle, like if I put Nip in "total prickfaces", does he KNOW he's in "total prickfaces"?
Nope.

Traut tagged me first. You got seconds (and chimp rapes frog, really?).
But I'm pretty sure I tagged Traut last night; so we might have a little bit of threeway action going on here.

I don't want my social media BS notifications yelling at me when I am in Gmail or Google Docs to actually accomplish things, but since that navbar now goes across all google apps that seems to be how it works now, unless you can shut that off.

I tried the tag thing with you guys if someone hadn't already.
Yeah, it's shut down membership for now. You get this message:

I got the same notification last night and then I went through this AM. Sounds like it's almost like a rolling blackout situation.

Well, as my unpaid IT guy, I expect more from you...Capitalism is great. Google hasn't responded to competitor pressure and should suffer as a result. They're at the back of the pack for cost-effective enterprise mail. They're still probably the cheapest but we're talking a few bucks a month, which honestly shouldn't be a consideration when you take into consideration how much folks depend on email these days.
Wait until it goes down and try to find some human somewhere other than their horrible forums to acknowledge that you exist

I opened a 365 account a few weeks ago after we talked. Starting small, just sharing my NAV spreadsheet and PerTrac report with my administrator. Had to use 365 because of the Excel formulas and formatting. My guys want full Outlook functionality that is web based anyway, so 365 is probably the only way for us to go even if it's not there yat. Hasn't changed the fact that were still short Mister Softee.Unpaid IT guys communicate over message boards
ditch yo Google Apps for 365. Lync absolutely decimates anything google has. For $27/month it can even be your phone system (after it comes out of beta and not including a cheapo SIP trunk for probably 30 or 40 bucks a month)

OWA 2010 (Outlook web access) is better than the Outlook client that comes with Office 2007 in my opinion. If Excel Online isn't cutting it for then you can always put up the Excel on the Sharepoint that comes with 365.

Could you imagine the media shitstorm that would result from facebook publishing that kind of list?

Zuckerberg was one of the first to dump cash onto Dispora, whose business plan was specifically to be an alternative to fb. I don't really get the man's angle on that one, but needless to say he knows how to fuck the business world in the rear far better than I do.

Not really, but I hear what you're saying... the privacy stuff doesn't really bother me very much.
Yeah... I have no idea, I guess maybe he just wants to be involved. At a minimum it let's him see what the competition is doing well and messing up.Zuckerberg was one of the first to dump cash onto Dispora, whose business plan was specifically to be an alternative to fb. I, for one, always enjoyed the pre-Murdoch version of Myspace to Facebook and welcome the demise of Facebook. Myspace was Facebook's slutty sister.

I don't know, I feel like the guy is trying to bet on social media, not on Facebook. He believes in the technology and the change it's going to bring to society even more than he believes in his own ability to steer a company to being the behemeoth in the market. He's also rich enough that there's not really a need for more personal gain at this point - maybe he's just in it because he believes in connecting people.Zuckerberg was one of the first to dump cash onto Dispora, whose business plan was specifically to be an alternative to fb.
