Hopefully Shaq retires and the 6 million can be off the books.

This seems very likely.

We did not deserve to shoot anywhere near the amount of free throws the Heat did.

C'mon. Wade and LeBron were attacking the rim 75% of the time. We couldn't stop them from splitting double teams or turning the corner. They should shoot alot more FT's.

The Celtics mindless turnovers, inability to contain James/Wade, Pierce's awful shot to close regulation in Game 4, on and on. We are lucky to have even given them this much of a series. We played awful and look really old.

They attacked because they were getting calls. The C's didn't stop them because they have only a finite number of fouls to give.

On the other hand, the C's seemed to get very few calls when they attacked the rim. I am not complaining mind you...anyone who watches the NBA knows this is standard operating procedure.

Wasn't it 48?

I just did the math in my head, so you could be right.

1, 32, 18 -- 14
2, 36, 22 -- 14
3, 17, 19 -- -2
4, 28, 29 -- -1
5, 38, 20 -- 18

I think I get 43 still. I'm too angry to grab a calculator

:)

I'd be fine with him not coming back. Especially with Jeff Van Gundy as the rumored replacement.

Of course, I'd also be fine with 75% of the roster not coming back.

Lebron took 20 shots today. 7 of them 3s. I'm going to go out on a limb and say the other 13 attempts weren't all on drives. It's not like drove 75% of the time.

I'm completely finished with the NBA. This game was a traveshamockery.

I'm in the same boat here. I love basketball and the C's but I just cant take anymore of the ballwashing that the LBJ's and Wades of the world get by the announcers and more importantly the refs.

Doc: 'I'm leaning heavily toward coming back.'

'I'm a Celtic, and I love our guys. I want to win again here. I'm competitive as hell, and we have a competitive group.'

I love Doc and would be glad to have him back....but the window is SHUT. Ainge needs to realize that. They are old and unatheltic. They need a top 5 player to consistnetly compete again. Don't see how they can get that.

I'm sorry. Sort of some total rape of a trade that we would get laughed at for suggesting, you can't fix this.

The FT attempts don't even show the ridiculous traveling calls on Baby and Pierce, the out of bounds on Bosh. That's a direct result of 5 points being taken off the board, possibly 7.

It appears the C's have $72 million spent in salaries next year. Kristic, Davis, West, Murphy, Wafer, and Arroyo will be coming off the books. Jeff Green will need a qualifying offer extended to him as well. Next year should be interesting to see how Ainge will build this team going forward.

Joke's on Doc:

The league will be in lockout mode next year.

Quite honestly, I would like to begin the rebuilding process. If Doc walks, it would seem like it'd be more likely that KG would retire. Add some pieces next year but don't try too hard. Get a decent draft pick, allow Ray to come off the books and then see where the lay of the land is before the start of the 12-13 campaign.

Miami -7, two points higher than the line in games one and two.

Not looking good.

WHAT THE FUCK! THE KG, PIERCE AND RAY ERA CANNOT END WITH A DOUBLE DIGIT ROUT! SHOW SOME FUCKING HEART! BE PRIDEFUL! BEAT THESE BITCHES!

- The non-calls down the stretch while driving to the hoop were absurd.
- Credit where it's due though: Lebron made two incredibly tough shots - nothing you can do about those two threes.
- Two critical turnovers late.

The only sport I'm consistently good at betting is the NBA because it's predictable. Though that's not to credit myself, because in reality, I'm fading my initial feeling going into the play.

The ending to that game was repulsive.

I'm devastated.

In the two home games, the C's had a +1.5 FTA/game and in the 3 heat home games they had a + 16 FTA/game.

Age was obviously a big factor, too, as the Celtics died the last 5 minutes of almost every game, but don't even pretend to argue that the FT disparity wasn't a huge part as well.

If you drive and don't get calls, you'll probably not make the layups (since you're being hacked to shit, that's the whole point of fouls), so why bother? They tried to force the issue late; it didn't work.

Celtics should rest Pierce, Allen and KG to start the season. They should play maybe 50 regular season games each. Be the fucking 8th seed it doesn't matter. Just be healthy and rested for the playoffs.

It's not going to happen. I knew when the C's didn't get a technical or at least a clear path foul in game 4 that something was up. I try to stay out of the "blaming the refs" thing, but it is to damn hard not to based on this series. It wasn't just the fouls, it was the obvious calls that got missed and were called the other way. It is just disgusting and I keep telling myself I will stop watching, but I don't because I love the Celtics.

I just can't stand the state of officiating in the league right now. The calls almost seemed as staged as "THE DECISION".
