These aren't the Kobe/Phil Lakers.Miami -7, two points higher than the line in games one and two.
Not looking good.

But don't worry about style points, worry about the win. A Cs win tonight puts a lot of pressure on those dickheads.
So let it be written, so let it be done.

I am waking up at 3:30 AM in Afghanistan to watch you play. I have watched all of your games during these playoffs, I don't want this to be the last. I am already in a shitty place, you losing makes it infinitely worse. There are so many bandwagon Miami fans in my unit, please for the love of God help me shut them the fuck up. Just fucking win tonight, fuck the Heat.
Love,
Me.
P.S. BBD if you fuck this up any more than you already have, I will right a letter to my Congressman tomorrow requesting your banishment from the Commonwealth. Don't make me do that.

http://twitter.com/#!/Shandel_HeatNBA/status/68328244906168320Shaq doubtful for tonight. After listening to Doc Rivers today, it's likely he's done for season.
As Cedric said the other night on the postgame show, "if Shaq was a horse, you'd take him out and turn him into glue."

Humiliate the Heat.
Take their souls.

Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Anyone who thinks this is already over can take the night off, do something besides watch the game, and we'll see you when you jump back in when we get back to Boston for game 6.
You have to win 4 games to advance. It doesn't matter which 4.

But... what if?
What if the Celtics beat Miami in Miami in front of that half-empty arena? What if the home court advantage suddenly loses its luster of invincibility? What if the C's trust each other on defense, close down the lanes and force Miami into jump shots? What if crisp ball movement on offense beats the Heat's athletic advantages?
You need to win one game. Tonight. No excuses. If the refs spot the Heat ten points, win by eleven.
Put a chink in the armor and go from there.
Just win.

No surprise. I was in Miami during last year's Cs-Heat series and, while the Heat were clearly a different team last year, the ONLY way one could know that the Heat were in a playoff series was to buy a newspaper or drive to within a few blocks of the AmericanAirlines Arena.Tickets still available in Miami according to Rachel Nichols
Then again, there were Bs seats to be had on the "primary" market a day before one of the Flyers games.

Humble the Heat? No.
Humiliate the Heat.
Take their souls.
"If you play the way you play, and you dedicate yourself to doing this, they will come. ... You may have to put your arms around a couple guys and take 'em with you."
Take us with you KG. Rise up on those almost-36-year-old legs and take us back to Boston.

The word at the end there is ringS, plural. I want one more from this core. Kick their asses tonight and start an improbable run. The 2007 Red Sox were down 3-1 to Cleveland. You know who used to play in Cleveland? LeFaker. Kick his ass like the Sox kicked the asses of the Indians.

I'm not ready for the season to end yet, and certainly not to these entitled bastards.

I swear, that video makes things a little bit dusty for me. Just win tonight.

I have this weird and wonderful feeling that not only are the Celts going to win tonight, but they are going to win somewhat easily.

I wish I shared your optimism. I see a spirited effort falling short.

I love the good vibes, but I have my doubts.
Still, I am strangely serene myself. I don't feel confident about their chances in this game - or, for that matter, the series - but I'm not anxious at all. And I can't even chalk it up to a sense of resignation because I'm not terribly pessimistic, either. I suppose it's possible that I am satisfied with the awesome runs this core group has afforded us and don't have any more expectations, but it's nonetheless a little odd that I don't feel those pre-game nerves.
Pretty much nothing would surprise me tonight, except possibly a Boston blowout (i.e., 10+ point lead throughout the final period). All I ask for is a competitive effort, and I don't expect any of us will be disappointed in that regard. Are we ever?

You can't predict Ray going off. You can't predict Big Baby showing that he's competent. You can't predict Jeff Green winning a game for us like Nate Robinson did last year against Orlando in round two. You can't predict a Delonte 20-plus point contribution. You can't predict a Garnett resurgence. You can't predict the Celtics bypassing the Pierce isolation play at the buzzer and actually giving themselves a chance to win the game. You can't predict a Jermaine O'Neal double double (with blocks and rebounds). You can't predict Rondo beating the odds, fucking around, and getting a triple double. You can't predict the officials giving Pierce a quick two foul screw job, only for Wafer to hit three consecutive threes. You can't predict 10 and 5 for Krstic in limited minutes. And finally, you can't predict, but you can certainly hope that Troy Murphy gets some tick, and tackles Wade worse than Bynum the other day - his career's over anyways, go out with a bang.
WIN!!!!!

I really hate that he and Reggie got this series. So painful
